I think a lot of the negativity has to do with the way the media portrays escorting. Watch any news cast on the subject and the footage they will usually air is the street walkers plying their trade on the streets with their pimps close by. And that seems to resonate with the public. You never see the media portraying the escort as a confident, independent business woman, working in a safe environment, enjoying her clients and what she does for a living. It's always the media spin of her being an exploited woman who needs to be protected from herself and the thugs (not clients) that see her. Until this changes, the public perception probably will not.

Today I was discussing the reasons for escorting and the way society looks at it...with a gym buddy.
She came right out stating that the guys should be honest.....
I explain that there are different reasons people use escorts, and different type
of men....I went down the list.....

She state well if you are married it cheating....I said there is a difference between sex and
love....I even said how about women who do not want sex anymore or men...what do
these people do if they love their partner .....she said they should be honest about it...
I said ....most women would be upset because most women thing sex is love.....she said it
all about communication, I agreed...I said every marriage is not perfect, and people would see the
difference.....

Here is the major part that I found is lacking when educating the public...
She said...which would be safer....Street walker.......And Escort ....or a Pick up in a Bar...

I asked her which one she would think is safest and she stated the pick up at the Bar...

So I said to her, do you know if you are giving a guy a bj you should not brush your teeth before..
she asked why, I stated because you could have nicked your cums, so there is an open score

I said It is not good to pick up street walkers......they are the ones mostly abused I was told

Given the general conservative and Puritan attitudes of North Americans only time can help. As people become more and more tolerant of each other and there actions then this too like gay marriage will be accepted. Give it time.

You can't compare the Scandinavians to us. They have far more tolerant liberal views than we do and have been brought up that way. North Americans on the other hand by in large demonize anything they don't like or understand. Europeans I think are somewhere in between with a leaning to the liberal side.

I have talked to guys about escorts......
As for masturbation, I was tell the guys how to do it in 6th grade.....for me
a woman taught me when I was 19......
I have never had issues in talking about sex......

As for my friend, she is a extremely smart woman, I know the debate is not over,
but I would rather debate it than hide away and not discuss it at all.
