I have been thinking of the subject Escorting how to make it legal
and how to make the public ok about it....this is just from a layman's
view point....

The people you need to reach are the Women, the ones who are married...
What I feel is that women today are more open, others well...
If you have a site that women can post on escort boards that have things
they can learn, find things in common, that they do not feel threaten in
their view points, that they can ask guys or escorts question....then maybe more of
the public will be on board....

Changing the bad meaning on Escorting or the way some people look at
Escorts as dirty, below human, not nice, etc, there has been a change
but not enough of one.....I feel that you have to shift the focus from
the negative to the positive parts.....

What I have learn from being on here is this and I tell my women friends.
Some men are shy, some have health issues, some men have issues with
women, some men have problems with their wives having sex, not all women
enjoy sex or how to have sex or how to let go, some men just like a change,
I can go on.....

I am still thinking about it, instead of looking at it has a free to have sex, which
people have issues with it should be refocus has a health issue, an equality for
people you have problems having sex and they should be able to have a service
to help them enjoy what others have.....

It just a thought.....

Dear from the layman's point of view Escorting itself is legal.
Soliciting for the purposes of Prostitution are illegal.
Incalls - illegal Bawdy House laws.
Outcalls legal.
Negotiating a price - illegal.
Living off the avails of prostitution AKA Pimpin' - Illegal.
Canadian laws are very grey when it comes to flesh peddling.

And for the record an old joke - We don't pay them to have sex we pay them to leave. After the sex, of course.

You would be opening a can of worms. Married woman hate the fact their husbands can sneak around spending money on other women. The more the general public learns about the industry the easier it will be for the government to impose stiffer penalties in my opinion.

I don't think you'll ever get women onside to legalizing prostitution. For many women, their husbands are their hard-won prize and possession, and no one else can have him. Even bisexual women, once married turn completely heterosexual and will not allow any other women near him, even though she herself has played around with women in her past.

But don't you think maybe that is what they want us to believe....
None of the parties want to deal with it.....That if it was put has a Health Issue
for rights of people who have problems in this area.....

I too think that you do not rock the boat but slowly change the minds of the players
with the powers but that may take eons.....LOL

I would guess that many of the people in power (men) take advantage of some sort of sex industry working gal but can never freely admit to it or appear to be in support of it publicly. Jack Layton was a perfect example and I bet there are many more.

I agree on both points.
I do think it is because of how the sex industry working ladies are viewed is responsible for (in-addition to the man's own disposition) that men feel empowered and justified to take advantage of a working girl. This is not right.

I do agree with Blissful. The participants within the industry should be viewed with respect and treated with such.

In most cases laws are subject and influenced to popular opinion and practice. Acceptance and change in opinion of the industry will undoubtably occur in the sex industry overtime. Hopefully the the treatment and acceptance of the ladies by all..not just some men…will happen too.

You should ask your women friends to join HUBGFE :)

You can't get people openly talking about sex taboos like masturbation that are natural and everybody has done so here's no way paying a stranger for sex can be made acceptable to the mainstream.

this thread reminds me of those protesting this week to allow women to go barechested...

Bliss? prostitution is legal lol......and by that definition, so is escorting. Not sure about living off the avails, but bawdy houses was legalized back in.....2011? march 2012? something like that.......

btw, an escort going to a man's home, or hotel room, has always been 100% legal in Canada.......

Didn't you watch the show Mistress last night it aired on slice Ramsey's ex mistress has created a show to teach woman how to spot when their man is cheating even right down to checking their bank accounts and phone bills. if that show picks up it will just be more work to educate people on this matter

Who is Ramsey?

that's the one she claims she was with him for 7 years. i met her it was an experience not one that is worth writing a good review

She seems to have had affairs with lots of famous UK people, including Gordon Ramsay and Jeffery Archer.

IMO, Its a human issue.

Prostitution will always exist and there will always be some opposed to it for moral or personal reasons no matter what the law is or the degree of openness / awareness in a society.

I think a lot of the negativity has to do with the way the media portrays escorting. Watch any news cast on the subject and the footage they will usually air is the street walkers plying their trade on the streets with their pimps close by. And that seems to resonate with the public. You never see the media portraying the escort as a confident, independent business woman, working in a safe environment, enjoying her clients and what she does for a living. It's always the media spin of her being an exploited woman who needs to be protected from herself and the thugs (not clients) that see her. Until this changes, the public perception probably will not.
