I appreciate all the feedback regarding representation. I will in time. I'm authoring my response to file and serving that within the next two weeks. I listened carefully while I was waiting for my turn to adjourn and "interviewed" any counsel that was present. I spoke to a few of them as they left and got their contact info.

I did suggest mitigation to the applicant's counsel and she seemed receptive. As I said, I hope to resolve this amicably and fairly, but she is a woman scorned and we all know how that usually works out.

I'm in the family courts myself and it's not fun. I have a very good family lawyer, she's been a godsent but it's been a nightmare. Ida my former mate is trying to take as much as possible, from pension, to investment property I owned prior to our marriage to anything she can get her hands on. It's mortifying at the lengths some will go after a breakup.
