Steve, there's a new craft beer, soon to be marketed locally, only in Oceanside, California. It's made by an 'old Surfer Dude', in his basement, and all he's done so far is brew some personal use product, and have his graphic designer buddy make the labels, and some T-Shirts. I'm involved with this at the licensing end; no money coming to me, just some exclusive swag. The company is called "Southern O. Brewery", and the corporate logo is "S.O.B."! Being the only person in town with that T-Shirt is a whole lot more valuable, than a few bucks from a micro business. I get some extra shirts, if "Mac" wears one, in an episode of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia".

I only have the logo in .pdf, but I've asked the designer to send me a .png version. When he does that, I'll let you see it, in a PM. I'm not allowed to display it in a public forum, before the product is actually for sale to the general public. This deal was made just last weekend, by e-mail, so it may be a few days before I can prove the above is true.

Flash has given me the privilege of seeing it, and it looks really nice. If I drank beer I might buy a can just based on the design--it would look good on a shelf.

Thanks, Cristy! FYI, "Maudite" ('Mo-deet') means 'cursed' or 'accursed', like the archaic English "Maudy". In French; "Maudit" ('Mo-dee') is equivalent to 'God damned', in French Canadian profanity.

All of the French Canadian swear words relate to the Catholic Church. There was once a CBC TV produced hockey-based drama show, late 80's, called "He Shoots He Scores", in English, ("Lance et Compte" in French). It was shot in French, and dubbed into English. The French version also had some nudity, excised for the English markets nationwide.

In one scene from the English version, one of the hockey players called the referee a 'communion wafer'. I actually saw that, on a home taped VHS tape, owned by someone else!

This thread is supposed to be about great beer Brand Names, as opposed to 'best tasting' or 'best selling'. I have no idea what "Naughty Neighbour" beer tastes like, but similarly, naughty neighbor herself is full bodied, and pale; the tanning season is young.



I had a couple of these once, but they tasted 'funny'.
