India wants to protect women with new cellphone panic button

India will now regulate and mandate that ALL CELLPHONES manufactured come with panic buttons and GPS technology to ensure that women are always safe and protected.

Obviously, the Indian government is using this 'protect women' initiative to track and record every citizens movement. If you speak out against the protocol, they will label you as not caring about women's safety.

Irony: If women are equal to men, why isn't the initiative also aimed at protecting men's safety? Why do women need to be protected? Can't they protect themselves? After all, women are now entering armed combat within military units around the world. Do these future female military soliders also need to carry a panic button when deployed on the battle field so a man will come to their rescue?

Ridiculous.
