I found myself in Johannesburg with a couple of buds. We decided to check out the local strip club called the Grand Rivonia

Cover charge was about $80 CDN. I was shocked when I was told the price, but was pleasantly surprised when I got in to see that the strip club was also a bona fide restaurant. The cover charge included all the food you could handle. Drinks were extra, but that was expected. I can honestly say that the buffet rivals the best buffets in Las Vegas. They literally had 100s of dishes that ranged from all types of meats and veggies prepared in all types of styles and flavours. A salad bar and dessert bar were also available. They also had a la carte sushi and teppanyaki. The teppanyaki was really good and better than Benihana's dare I say.
I didn't expect this quality of food in a strip bar at all. The food here can stand on its own as a restaurant. I was told that business people will take clients to this place just for the food. The dancers at the club also ate in the same area so it was not unusual to be next to a table with scantily clad girls who were also devouring the food.
After gorging on the food, we took a short walk over to the club area to see what the talent was like. The area consisted of a round stage and the seating area surrounding the stage in a stadium seating type arrangement. I was very disappointed in the talent though. It was a Thursday night, but the talent would be no better than Caddy's strip club in Scarborough. I was expecting a Brass Rail type quality, but nowhere near that. Lots of the girls had really bad boob jobs.
Dances were the equivalent of $20 CDN per song. You could also pay to go to the VIP upstairs where I heard that you can have sex, but at a premium. I did not inquire about prices as I was not interested in any of the ladies. We stayed for a couple of hours, but I decided to leave as there were only so many times I could say no to Anna who wouldn't take no for an answer. This is Anna
