So, I have to wonder, wtf is taking so long?

Last I read they were waiting for the coroner's report and that was last week. Therefore the autopsy was done, so what's the hold up?

You have to wonder if something is being held back.....it's not like them to take so long.......

Ya, I was wondering about that myself... there was a story in the Sun a couple days ago...

But nothing about the "on going investigation".

It may take weeks to do toxicology.

Maybe the problem is not enough lab techs....since it takes thousands of dollars of schooling and thousands of hours of homework to make less than a bus driver or garbageman maybe many are heading in that direction?

Odd, when there's a car accident and the driver dies, they report the next day that he had x times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood........

Alcohol is very easy to pick up in a person's body especially one that has recently died. Other toxins are not so easy and even more difficult when a body has been exposed to the elements for months. This time line is not unusual.

That may be true but whether they tested for alcohol or whatever, doesn't the report take the same amount of time?

ie: if you send blood out for a variety of tests, you don't get the results back piece meal, you get all the results back at once. So someone dies in a car accident while driving. They send some blood out for toxicology. They don't just test for alcohol, they test for drugs, etc also. Yet get the results back within a day or two.

I can't believe they'd get the alcohol results back the next day, then the results for cocaine a week later, then meth 2 weeks later, then LSD 3 weeks later. You would think they'd get the results back from ALL tests all at one time.

I mean, whenever I've had blood work done, the report shows the results from all the tests, not just some of them......

Maybe the dead aren't a priority?

Maybe but with all the press coverage when her body was discovered you'd think they'd release the results by now.....I just did another search and pffft nothing.....

What makes everyone think that the result should be made public. Its not beyond the realm of possibility that doing so could jepoardize the investigation. Or they can't find anything difinitive for one reason or another.

I think the results should be made public when they make the investigation public. When they stop people on the street, when they "advertise" facts in the paper, etc. When accusations are made that her death is related to her choice of living. When they make all other aspects of the case public.

At the very least they could say that they have received the results of the autopsy and are following up with the results.....SOMETHING.

Well I totally wish they'd hurry up with the results, or any info to do with Keras death. She was an amazing girl, I met her the summer of 2010, she lived with me in BC and i miss her so much, she had a heart of gold. But seriously I'll work my ass of to pay for a P.I. just to nail the monster that decided to take karebear from me, & the rest of her amazing solid family & friends.
