And here in lies the problem! Why do you care? Part of the reason SOOOO many women have issues with their appearances is because people won't shut up about them. Whether or not you like or dislike makeup is your business, but why not keep it to yourself, if you don't mind. This business is superficial and hard enough without picking apart every aspect of a woman's appearance and what she does to enhance or change it. Why don't we start showing more appreciation for whats important, truly important, ones character, confidence, which I do believe these types of threads can affect, ones care for others, etc
I'm sorry to go off on a tangent but while I was in my esthetics career I saw how makeup helped many women with self confidence issues. So I hate to see it criticized. Remember it DOES wash off for heavens sake. Perhaps instead of worrying about what others do to themselves we should look to improve ourselves, no one here is prefect, are they? I think most of us should be thankful when someone wants to be with us, paid or not and appreciate them for what and who they are made up or not, life is seriously to frigging short to worry about such superficial things. But if you want to know I love makeup and wear a ton, especially for dates, that way I'm not recognized when I go out in public, lol, I take mine off for halloween!

I look at it this way: a truly beautiful woman is beautiful without the makeup, but the makeup adds something extra (a little Lagniappe, as they say in Louisianna). For those who are not so beautiful without makeup, the makeup helps them feel that way, and that comes across in attitude and our appreciation of them.

Too much makeup actually detracts from the beauty, IMHO, and a small percentage of women seem to think that if a little makes the look good, a lot makes them look better. There's not much mere men can do about that.

I look a it this way. Women wear makeup to please themselves and other women.

Myself I look at the eyes and smile to see what any person looks like.

Once you strip away the trappings and disguises you see what the person actually looks like.

I think I need some bleach for my East Indian Ass..........because none of the girls care about a man's heart looks like, even if he wants to buy them a makeup kit! That is considering the fact when you're not as handsome as what the society deems as their norm and good looking!
