And no, the Pride Parade exists to show pride among the LGBTQIA+ people that they are being accepted into society. That they no longer have to fear being persecuted, abused, or even murdered for demonstrating same-sex love and being the gender they feel comfortable in. It's not for them to gain attention, and even if it was so fucking what? Heterosexuals and cis-genders have been getting the attention and spotlight since like forever so it's the homosexuals and trans people's turns.

This driver is instantly labeled homophobic because he didn't want two people making out in the back seat of his car. Had it been a heterosexual couple he had kicked out for getting too handsy in the back seat, would we even hear about this? See.....special treatment because they were a homosexual couple.

If you have issues with LGBTQ people displaying pride on the streets while being perfectly OK with heterosexual couples displaying intimacy in public then clearly you're NOT for treating everybody equally. By your logic a right-winged Christian homophobic man has just as much right dehumanizing gay people as a gay person celebrating the LGBTQ pride. In that case I would strongly disagree with your stance.

It's in the news simply because it happens way more often, and yes I'm sure you'll hear of heterosexual couples being kicked out of Ubers just as much. AH. but the queer are NOT treated as equals, they are allowed far more freedom in public displays of sexuality, than normal people, at least here in the GTA.
