Major tsunami damage reported in northern Japan after 8.9 quake

I know what you're talking about, I think it's a different thing. This stuff looked like cream of wheat.

I still think education and available birth-control would be preferable longterm solutions to the issue.

never heard of that stuff....but does it require water to create the mixture? Not a good thing for a country experiencing 40 yrs of drought.....the pumpy nut stuff is premixed.

Just a question: who would be paying for this birth control? I think it'd be hard to get people (maybe HOF can donate $100,000.00??? he's so adamant about it) to donate money for drugs when the people need food immediately.

The thing that Hoffman and his ilk seem to constantly forget: the world has finite resources. Just like triage after a battle, you have to allocate those resources in a manner in which is best for everyone. If somone comes in with a cut jugular vein, you don't just keep pumping blood into them and watch it drain out onto the floor. You treat the cut. (and for the record, I didn't say sterilize everyone, just after they've had their 6th kid......)

I would like to think so too however there might be to many variables to cover to make that work.

Religious and ethnic customs might prohibit the use of birth control for example. Gripes what is the Catholic church's view on birth control these days?

My point exactly. The Pope still admonishes the use of condoms and BCPs although some priests are becoming more progressive and advocating the use of birth control, condoms to prevent the spread of AIDS, accepting of homosexual marriage etc. But total acceptance is a long long way off.

Oh for sure, there would be many difficulties in the implementation. Not to mention the resulting societal changes.

I suspect there also would be some issues when the troops swoop in and announce the mandatory sterilizations. Just put your feet in the stirrups and relax, boys, it'll all be over in a minute.

Naw, it's not that complicated. Just a few drops in the provided drinking water and that's all she wrote.

Hof I believe both Lone Ranger and yourself are being unnecessarily confrontational with Tboy. Although I don't agree with everything the gentleman says he does have a right to his opinion without being antagonized and called names.

I also noticed you have been banned from the other board. If you don't mind may I ask why?

PS. I do enjoy Lone Rangers posts, I find them very entertaining!!

I am such a funny guy LOL.

I have a fetish as well when it comes to inserting "things". :666:

It is called bubba jump or poppa jump or something like that. It's a protein peanut butter type thing that would give children the necessary daily requirements to survive. Again, so they can grow up and have too many more kids of their own. Once again, treating the symptom, not the cause.

Once again, that is only treating the symptom, not addressing the problem.

To HOF: Since there's so much extra food to go around, why do we have kids in our own country who are suffering from malnutrition? So how much do YOU personally send to ethiopia each year (in terms of tonnage of food products)?

So if you're so wise and all knowing and perfect in every way, how about you invite and sponsor 20 ethiopian families to come and live with you? Better yet, just one.

I know you won't because you're the type that bitch about what "other people do or suggest" instead of coming up with your own solution.

As for your constant reposting, go look, it's starting to bug other people too....

We should ensure that our needy are feed and sheltered, and there will always be homeless by choice people.
What do I donate:
500.00 Yearly in groceries to the Good Shepherd and my air miles to another food bank program.
200.00 Yearly to the Cancer Assistance Program.
200.00 Yearly sponsorship for 2 children to play houseleague basketball.
200.00 Yearly to Minor Football Assocation.
300.00 Heart & Stroke Foundation
300.00 Canadian Cancer Society
300.00 Red Cross Humanitarian Relief.

2000.00 This year. Hopefully, I'll be able to do more next year. I always donate used clothing and toys at Christmas to a women's shelter, the Christmas tree of hope, and citykidz.

In addition, I volunteer my time with several organizations. It may not be much time weekly but it's appreciated and adds up.

I've never thought of taking in a family? I'm not sure if I could do that, but I could be a connection to help getting them settled into the area. Would you take in 20 families or even one?

What do you do to help anyone?

For the re-posting remark, too bad isn't it. You and anyone else can put me on ignore and by-pass them.

If I had a million to donate to charity, I would. I was raised comfortably and have been able to sustained my comfortability. If I one a mega-lotto, I'd give 10-15% to charity.

I understand that the world is over-populated, but I believe that there is enough sustainable food to share. I could be right, I could be wrong. I wouldn't want 6 children myself, but I wouldn't want someone to lose a child either.

Tboy, I have nothing else to say to you in this particular thread. Assholes and Opinions, we all have them and some are bigger than others. You can always put me on ignore.

Enjoy your Sunday.

And how much more do you spend on SPs HOF?
I'm guessing quite a bit more than 2000

Don't make yourself out to be a martyr
I guess, since you got your ass turfed by that other board finally, you have no other place to try and impress

Insertion, you are always free to place me on ignore or by-pass my posts. Confrontational or heated discussion, he has a right to say what he wants, so do I and so does everyone else here.

The other board has nothing to do with this board, and the ban is lifted. You may ask anything that you wish. The answer is simply none of your concern.

And that is what in a percentage of your income....1%? .1%? .001%? Unless you provide that detail those numbers mean nothing......
