I suspect they are saying that in one case because they don't really like what they do and in another case just because they think (mistakenly) that it is hurtful or unmanly. I wonder if they feel the same way about anti-depressants, estrogen for menopausal women, and any other meds for any other physical ailment?

Probably, or maybe they aren't well read enough to know about diabetes or the side effects of cancer drugs or heart medications. Or still giggle about middle or old age like pre-teens sometimes do.

First time I saw viagra was about 10 or 15 years ago when an employee showed it to me. He was a US based fellow and was undergoing treatment for prostate cancer where they injected radioactive pellets into his prostate. He was newly married and the doctor thought it might counteract the effects of the pellets but cautioned him to wear a condom.

It was quite new so he gave about 3 or 4 of us a pill each to try.

If it was written about women in their middle age then some of you would say
they are too old to have sex and why should we pay for them to have those meds....

If you don't need a prescription med why would you use it? That's just common sense . Common sense would also tell you not to do something just because someone with the psychological make-up of reverse said so.

I mean using viagra for recreation purposes, when you have no trouble getting it up but want to go for an extended period as a sign of your virility. Some guys do that.
