I was thinking about going that route but I got too much stuff and some is way too heavy..on moving day I couldn't take the chance of friends with sore backs, you know what I mean!

$650 for a truck with 2 or 3 men driving downtown and then to whatever destination sounds like a bargain to me, especially if you say you needed a 26 footer. Dealing with downtown congestion I could only imagine the hassles for movers or any delivery person.

How do you compare my move to your move?

I didn't need the 24 foot, that's the only truck size they have. We left downtown at 11 am (no traffic) jumped on the Gardiner heading west, got off South Kingsway and headed north. Was at location in 20 minutes . I should have followed the truck. They went for lunch, most likely via drive through as the boss still had his sandwich in his hand when he arrived, 1 hour later than us.

They wanted alot more than the $650 - guys please read - don't twist my words - I REPEAT they wanted alot more than $650. $650 is what we agreed on after I mentioned police would be involved if they don't unload my bed and couch.

Oh yes I love decorating, painting etc. and I am loving this place..well sorta, it's SPACIOUS, gorgeous view of the Humber.

Moving is very stressful, did it once when we did contracts every year...
so I could pack a 3000 square foot house in one day......

Moving is costly even if you have just a little bit of stuff....
