Made with Love

Nobody is born gay.

Does anyone recall making a decision to be straight?

Yes. I decided to be straight about 45mins ago. Man, is my boyfriend pissed!

Ok, so, I've decided to switch back to being gay now. Straight was ok, but fashion for straight guys is just soooooo boring I couldn't take it anymore. Besides, I missed watching Queer Eye for the Straight Guy on tomfoolery Tuesdays with the jezebels in my sewing circle. Now, just where DID I put that lipstick....ta!ta! and toodles for now!

Being gay is NOT a choice. Being intolerant is.

I can tolerate being gay. And straight. But only for short periods of time. That's why I keep switching back and forth so often. I just can't tolerate being one or the other for very long because they're both such fun! :wink2:

Scientific research suggests that about 10% of males are born with brain chemistry that gives them a same sex orientation. Statistics show that about one man in ten is gay. Non logical thinkers would conclude that, because both percentages are the same, then all homosexual men were born that way. That simply isn't true.

A lot of men born with same sex orientation live heterosexual lies. Either religious indoctrination, social pressures, employment or other factors cause them to present the image that they are straight. Many of them want to be fathers, and most of them are excellent fathers. They have heterosexual intercourse reluctantly, for procreative purposes. They often marry women who want to have children, but don't necessarily enjoy sex, so it's a good match. They may share many common interests, that a 100% heterosexual couple would not.

These 'bearded' men might never actually engage in homosexual acts, but they do think about it, a lot. They're the guys who stare at the dick of another man at the adjoining urinal. They're the guys who watch heterosexual porn not for the sex, but to see the guy jerking himself off for the money shot. These are the guys that look at the pictures in a gay men's magazine, and then buy the Wall Street Journal, or both, with the newspaper wrapped around the magazine, when they take it to the cashier, (I was a magazine store cashier for a while, early 80's).

Some of these guys chose careers like Catholic clergy, in an attempt to deny themselves opportunities to follow their natural desires, because they have internalized that those desires are base. These are the guys who want to be on sports teams, or go to the gym a lot, because they like to shower with other guys, get some good looks, and fantasize about them, when they have privacy.

That's the best gauge of someone's sexual orientation; when a man fantasizes about sex, is it with a man, or a woman?

I don't have statistics to back this up, but it wouldn't surprise me if 1/3 to ½ of men born with same sex orientation are not 'practicing homosexuals', (ie: they may do so intermittently, or once or twice).

So, where do the rest of them come from? They're made that way.

Some practicing homosexuals were victims of child abuse by an adult. They were exposed to homosexuality before having heterosexual experience, and either they liked it, or they felt 'ruined', and doomed to that lifestyle, though someone else' choice. Some were made that way by overly strict parenting. A lot of them are just guys who have no game, they aren't interested in the women who would be available to them, so they pair off with another guy in the same boat. That's really no different from the lesbian women who pair up because men that would interest them are not interested in them, basically, the group of individuals who don't make the heterosexual cut, and want to be intimate with someone.

If gay men truthfully answered the question "How old were you when you had your first gay sexual experience, and how old was your partner", probably most would say they were under 18, and the partner was more than five years older. Until recently, that would have been a criminal offense.

How do I know this stuff? From having tons of gay guys hit on me when I was underage. Guys who would give you a ride hitchhiking, and then touch your leg, to see what your reaction would be. Guys that would approach teens waiting for a bus home from a rock concert, and invite them home to party. Guys who would act friendly, and then invite you swimming. I recognized their intents, and steered clear. I was a big enough guy that they didn't try to press their luck. I don't dislike gays, but I am wary of them. Not all of them are like that, but the ones who are predatory can each change a lot of different lives.

I could possibly enjoy sticking a light bulb in my ass, or touching a dick sticking through a glory hole in a toilet stall wall. I'll never know, because I'll never try. Even if I would like it, it's not something I'd want to like doing. One thing is true in life: If you're a guy, and you want to have sex, there are guys who will have sex with you. I just don't want to have sex with them.

When homosexuals are beaten up, it's called a 'hate crime'. Sometimes the perpetrators are redneck guys who are latently homosexual themselves, and hate that about themselves, so they take out their self hate on an easy target. Sometimes the ones who get beaten up are gay guys trying to pick up straight guys, who don't want to be picked up by gays, or they're beaten up by the friends or older brothers of one of their victims.

The defenders of gays as an 'homogenous group' will claim that these predators are pedophiles, not gays. That would be incorrect. They're both, to some extent. They're selfish men who seek out confused young boys because they want to fuck a tight ass, that has limited previous mileage. There are lots of heterosexual guys like that, too, but they're vilified, rather than hidden under a rug when the press arrives with cameras, like their gay counterparts. The only public face we see of homosexuality is monogamous couples, persecuted because they are different. I wonder how many gays fit that profile, maybe 20%?

Many of the rest are just guys who's primary focus in life is seeking out physical pleasure, taking risks, and being irresponsible; gay sex never leads to unplanned pregnancies. Unless a guy is raped, homosexuality is always a choice; he can just say no, even if his brain is wired that way. There's nothing courageous about it. In fact, there aren't many gay heroes. If soldiers were in a trench, and a grenade was thrown among them, how many gays do you think would fall on that grenade, to save their buddies? How many would risk their lives to do anything other than have dangerous sex? Probably not many. The sorts of virtues that would cause a crossing guard to be hit by a car because he was pushing a kid out of the car's path are not consistent with the lifestyle, which is generally self oriented.

I'm not suggesting that all, or even most gay men are predatory, but their numbers are greater than their apologists would admit. First and foremost, they are male, meaning that they are generally larger physically, stronger, and wired to conquer those smaller, weaker, and submissive. Not all men are like that, but sexual orientation doesn't change those motives in the ones that do. Many attractive men who are homosexual consider 'conquering' another man to be a greater demonstration of strength than doing that to a woman. To many a heterosexual man, the idea of being fucked in the ass by another man, or sucking on a dick, would be the greatest possible humiliation. That's why that happens to guys in prison; it's not that the perpetrators are gay, it's that they want to humiliate someone who isn't gay.

It's only natural that many of the same men who would abstain would have disrespect for others of their gender who would willingly participate in such activities, AND want to tell everyone about it. That's when gays are most often treated with disrespect; when they air their dirty laundry in public. Those men are seen as being weak, because they chose to be, or because they're just weak. The guy in elementary school who pissed with his underpants around his ankles, the guy who threw a baseball like a girl, the guy that was just naturally uncool, they all turned out gay, regardless of how their brain was configured, because they couldn't compete on even relatively equal terms with the young men. They're the newborn wildebeests that the lions eat.

Why are men competitive like that? because there's no silver medal for being the second fastest sperm.

Being born gay is a moot point.

Being born gay is a moot point.

The born gay argument is embraced by some as a defense toward their life style. Whether there are some born gay or some that have been influenced by social conditioning, the point is moot if you recognize that consenting adults should be to engage in sexual activities without the government or public ruling on the morality of what happens in the confines of their own bedroom. This is the root of the evil of C-36 - the concept of bending public morals to a religious or popular taste.

It is well documented that sexual and physical abuse can have devastating effects on children into their adult life. We all have different tastes in sexual partners and I find it hard to believe it is only attributed to genetic coding. If it is, maybe a few of us should start a dating service based solely on genetic matching.

I have friends who are gay and even if some study came out that refutes the 'born gay' science, it will not change my friendship or attitude of them. They are grown adults happy with their lives and I would vehemently appose any outside interference by self appointed moral judges.

Real_IM469, you just received your first 'Likes' statistic.

One of my best friends growing up was 'born gay', but he didn't know it, until he was about 20. He had several girlfriends, in sequence, but they were not 'beards'. He wasn't 'in the closet', pretending to be straight, he just didn't realize he was gay.

With the benefit of hindsight, many of the things he had done over the years were consistent with homosexual behavior, the way he danced, his taste in music, how he dressed, etc. He never hit on me, but I knew him mainly when he was about age 12-20, when he was still dating girls.

He was the nicest fellow in the world. He moved to Toronto while I was still in Montreal. I got his phone number from his mother, and called him once, after not seeing him for several years, (I knew he was gay, while we were both in Montreal, but by that time, we were in different social circles, most of the time). I asked him if he wanted to get together, and he said no. In the course of the conversation, he told me he had AIDS, and was now blind, and he didn't want me to see him like that; it would spoil my memory of him, from the good days. He died in 1990.

One of my high school friends died of AIDS too and I hope they find a cure for this deadly disease. He died way too soon.
