Relationship With A Sex Worker - Advice Wanted

Perhaps but now I got to find a new regular - or perhaps variety is the spice of life.

Do what you must do and I'm sure in time Ms. Right will tap you on the shoulder and you will find your merry way.

Everyone will give you different advice on the age-old debate of being in a relationship, serious or casual, with an SP/MPA. If she leaves the business because of you, that's one thing, but putting up with someone in the business requires a very different attitude. All I can tell you is it's worth it when you can make it work.:biggrin2:

I am glad you made it work. It could never work for me.

Are you still in the relationship?

F-bombs : that's indeterminate IMO. Could be that she's a crazy drama queen, or it could mean that she sincerely felt something for our man, little stick. Who knows.

Separating work and personal... I can say that have struggled with it. I went from very concerned and reluctant to being very ok with it (to the point of inviting someone to work functions). Like i said, love does weird things. You can rationalize anything it you want to.

But, that's not to say that work can be ignored or discounted. We may be cavalier amongst fellow pervs. However, even though hobbying and sex is becoming more mainstream, it ain't quite the thing yet.

And, there's the whole issue about daddy issues.....

Ahhhhh fuck it!

Rawd, you have big balls to take her to a work functions. How awkward would it have been if "jerry" from accounting came up behind you and whispered, "Rawd, how much is she charging you, I paid $250 for only an hour":biggrin2:

Thank you everybody for your advice. I think it is too complicated. I do like her and I think that we click socially.

I told her that it would be too difficult for me to have a relationship with a sex worker.

Tough decision - I would definitely go out with her if she was not an SP (Smart, funny, pretty). I think that if I moved forward with a relationship it would just end in a disaster. Logically - it would never work - I don't need to complicate my life further. But in the back of my mind, perhaps I should have gone out with her a few times and perhaps got a few "freebies" (But then she would know my true identity, where I live, etc. ---- so not worth the risk - also not "nice" behaviour).

I think we all know those freebies would have had a price. There is no free sex once feelings are involved.

I think you did the right thing, Stick. Whether anyone else agrees, your big head knows what you can or can't deal with. Kudos to you for letting it make the decision.

LS, you must be one good looking littlestick, the ladies shoo me out at the 55 minute mark.:biggrin2:

You did the right thing. I would have ended badly I'm sure.

Now go get laid and forget about it!

@Repoman - lol. When I saw get, she was retired. I never had anyone come up to me, even though I expected it. She was a very popular lady. It was more often that she pointed out clients at malls and restaurants.

Ultimately, it's simply deciding to accept a person for who they are. Once you do, you don't worry about what others think. I simply didnt care what people of lesser importance thought of me or someone who was far more important to me.

@Little Stick - in order for me to get to that point,'obviously I had to get to a very different headspace than when I first started seeing her. Maybe you can't get comfy with the concept in the first place, and that's ok too.

Our relationship ended...with complexity. Our romantic relationship ended but we tried to remain platonic friends for a while after. I think it was not-so-platonic for one of us. In truth, it was probably too close for both of us. (maybe thats a discussion better had in the "soulmate" thread!) It's never easy losing someone you once considered your best friend.

OG and I agree to disagree. I would never recommend looking for a relationship with a SP. but, if you happen to catch feelings, then you're a big boy and you can always give it a try. Just go in with your eyes wide open.

Obviously now you can't book her but I'll be curious if you ever hear from her again.

I'm curious what her reply would have been if you told her "If we have a personal relationship then we can't have a business relationship."

I guess we'll never know.
