Made with Love

Revenge porn culprits and owner facing jail time.

Well this doesn't help much.

The new statute also does not target revenge porn sites. Operators of such websites, and their users, are generally immune from liability for the content furnished to those sites by others under the 1996 federal Communications Decency Act.

Just don't allow your partner to naked naked pictures of you.

Case closed.

Yes that was her.

Well the website is still around.

but really now, like she took pics and sent it to a boyfriend they broke up and some how you forgot about the photos.

So it's all her fault, is it?

. . . . but really now, like she took pics and sent it to a boyfriend they broke up and some how you forgot about the photos.

Surprised to hear you say this, Miss Riley. Smacks of victim blaming.

Strikes me the fault lies with the asshole who posted those personal photos with the intention of making her life miserable.

Ya I have to agree. I know guys love to say that women can't take a break up and give plenty of examples of it but I gotta say.....men are equally stupid in the break up department when it comes to dealing with it.

It's not victim blaming, the whole point of break up is usually to get your stuff and reenforce boundaries.

I am guess I am smart of keeping my own porn on my person and not give it out to boyfriends maybe because my stuff is already on the internet I see things a little different.

It's more likely if a boyfriend wants to do porn with me he has to worry about him being on the internet.

You do have a short memory span.

I am actually shocked to read another women assert this type of victim blaming opinion. In my opinion, pictures/video should only be shared with both parties consent. Therefore it would not matter if she forgot about them. The person who posted them had no right to do so, the site that kept them up had no right to do that as well. Even if you feel she should take part of the responsibility, the ex who posted them and the sites that keep them up after her expressed request to have them removed, bare some responsibility as well that you seem to be completely ignoring. Considering the field you work in as well, it is very disappointing to see this opinion shared within this community.

I truly hope for your sake that you never have to experience some thing like this in the future and if you do, you are given more support then you are showing this poor woman.

If you are a celebrity and have explicit pics of yourself on your phone or PC you have to know that some creep is going to try and steal them. So therefore it's best just to not put yourself in that situation. Sometimes common sense has to be used.

'Revenge porn' illegal under new UK law

People who post so-called "revenge porn" pictures and videos on the internet could face two years in jail under a new law. The new Criminal Justice and Courts Bill will have an amendment dealing specifically with the practice.

"We want those who fall victim to this type of disgusting behaviour to know that we are on their side," said Justice Secretary Chris Grayling.

Physical distribution of images will also be covered.

"The fact that there are individuals who are cruelly distributing intimate pictures of their former partners without their consent is almost beyond belief," Mr Grayling said. He said authorities would do "everything we can to bring offenders to justice". "That is why we will change the law and make it absolutely clear to those who act in this way that they could face prison."

The amendment will cover images sent on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks. It will also include those sent by text message.

"This type of behaviour can be extremely distressing for its victims causing them significant psychological harm," said Adam Pemberton, assistant chief executive for charity Victim Support.

"We are pleased that people who commit these gross violations of privacy will now face prosecution, and victims of revenge porn know they have the full backing of the law."

Man Sentenced To Year In Jail Under ‘Revenge Porn’ Law

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A man who posted a topless photo of his ex-girlfriend on her employer’s Facebook page has been sentenced to a year in jail under the state’s revenge porn law, Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer said Monday.

“California’s new revenge porn law gives prosecutors a valuable tool to protect victims whose lives and reputations have been upended by a person they once trusted,” Feuer said. “This conviction sends a strong message that this type of malicious behavior will not be tolerated.”

Noe Iniguez, 36, was found guilty under the 2013 statue which prohibits the unauthorized posting of nude or sexual images of an individual with the purpose of causing emotional distress. Iniguiez was also convicted of two counts of violating restraining orders.

Iniguez, the first defendant to be convicted in a revenge porn case filed by Feuer’s office, was also sentenced to three years probation and ordered to attend domestic violence counseling sessions and to stay away from the victim.

Iniguez and the victim dated for four years and broke up in 2011. After receiving several harassing text messages from Iniguez following the breakup, she obtained a restraining order against him.

Last December, Iniguez used an alias to post derogatory comments about her on her employer’s Facebook page. In March, he posted the topless photo, along with comments calling her a “drunk” and a “slut” and saying she should be fired.
