lock yourself bedroom and cry for the entire day

tried something like that years ago

But the commercial makes it look so slick ... every slice shaped perfectly ... grease drains off so easily ... throw it in the dishwasher . . . . this could save you a lot of time barefoot in the kitchen.

place a double layer of paper towels on a microwave safe plate

lay 4 pieces of bacon on the paper towels and cover with another double layer of paper towels

lay 3 additional pieces of bacon on that layer and cove once again with a double layer of towels

Microwave on high for 6 to 8 minutes, depending on your microwave.

let stand one minute and serve

Of course there was that one occasion when nobody noticed the paper towel slip off the counter after the bacon was on the plate.

Well, almost nobody. Caught the attention of one very sharp-eyed golden retriever.

Must have been that quaint country-kitchen pattern making it so attractive.

Never did realize the paper towel was missing . . . until it started showing up all over the back yard over the next few days.
