How many of you actually deal with it and go through the hoops?

A big part of screening for the young ladies are referrals from other indies. I just read one tweet where a young lady will not provide references unless the client spends 5 hours or more of time with herHmmmmmm which in other words is a $1500 referral purchase.

I've never been denied a session with an agency yet on two separate occasions I have not passed screening which is fine. I saved my money and spent it elsewhere.

I completely understand the need for the ladies safety but the process shouldn't be hindered and filled with road blocks because in the end, the $$$$ loss is for the ladies.

I also would never give my real employer and name post BillC36, it just is not worth any services offered in my opinion.

Two of them refused your business?.

Why?.

Would you let Madman book an hour with you?:biggrin2:

Kidding aside, yeah....I don't bother to much engaging in a long screening process if it's more than a couple of questions.

Any smart hobbyist follows these rules

1) be clean and polite
2) never give your real last name
3) never give your employer or your real address
4) never give a deposit.

There are so many providers and agency there really is no need to compromise discretion.

Seriously guys!! Paranoid much. If you are dealing with reputable ladies, ones with reco's, reviews, websites, posting history, online presence, and they want your info, give it to them. Our safety trumps your anonymity and reputable ladies will protect your identity as if it were their own!!
I've dealt with some known people in my years of escorting and have never divulged a name, misused info and never will, nor have I had trouble getting it from them. That's what my and others reputation hinges on, being discrete and besides, how many of you would anyone care knowing about anyways, not being rude, just truthful. No one cares about the average business guy and where he spends his money. It's the rich and famous that make the news, lol and again it is them that UNDERSTAND why we screen!!
Make it simple, if you don't like someones screening process, don't see them, move on, but don't then whine when it is that person who hasn't screened you who rips you off, or does something else shady and I'm not implying that ALL those with lax screening processes as being nefarious.
To end...... PLEASE don't gripe about what anyone provider requires, we all screen in our own respective ways first and foremost, to feel safe, to insure ourselves we are dealing with a regular Joe, not some deranged freak out to harm us. AGAIN, our safety trumps your anonymity! That's the way it is, just as it is OUR RIGHT to charge what we feel we deserve for OUR service. It is NOT your right to challenge either!!

I usually either PM from the site or through twitter and have never been asked for anything more than a phone number or email/handle. I do follow Cristy's advice, if I don't feel comfortable about the booking procedure I just look for another provider. We definitely do not have a shortage of ladies!:biggrin2:

I've always relied on my intuition rather than extensive screening.

I've never asked for more than a first name (I don't even care if it's their real name) and a phone number.

I respect my client's privacy and understand why they feel unsafe sharing confidential info with SP's.

That is the beautiful thing about this hobby....we all have choices both the men and the ladies.

Absolutely! My experience with references was not good. Saw provider A and had a very good time with no issues for either of us.. She would always email me to let me know when she would be in town after that. Wanted to see provider B but she required a reference, no problem I thought, I will use provider A. Provider B would not see me because reference did not check out from provider A. Now I just move on to a provider that does not require a reference.

I rarely give a provider reference, what has worked better for me is saying, I'm unretired on HUBGFE, have a look at my reviews and you will see I am respectful and polite. I would never, ever give personal work info or other details that could be tracked back to my RL situation, it's simply too fraught with risk. In addition, many providers have either stopped providing references after bad experiences or turn them into a chance to ruin a regular's rep who is looking to try someone new. Or there's bad blood between the ladies involved, or the provider in question is just a bit nuts. I have been around this game for 20 plus years and seen it all, all manner of ugliness on both sides of the coin.

The other issue that tends to creep into these threads is the kind of attitude from some providers that guys aren't allowed to question these things. I could not disagree more. The guys have as much to risk post C36 as the ladies, we are the only half of the equation who can go to jail. Extortion & blackmail have happened to hapless pooners who gave over info, only to have it used against them. Out west, a client committed suicide when faced with the reveal of his extra-marital adventures by a truly evil provider and her scumbag boyfriend only after they milked him for 20K. I am a firm believer and supporter of a ladies' right to set her own rates and terms. It's not cool to turn that discussion into an attack on providers, however, adult discussion of those things shouldn't be branded as anti-provider or otherwise seen as misogynist or anti-feminist. It's not cool to attack guys in the same vein.

Said to see that you think any posts were considered attacks. It is fair for anyone to disagree with procedures but to suggest that anyone should change how they screen or charge simply because it doesn't fit into your comfort zone is wrong. This thread includes what clients should NEVER do, which isn't fair to say. As has been said, there are enough ladies and enough clients to fit everyone's needs, if someone doesn't like something offered, move on to someone who is compatible. To encourage ladies however, to relax screening methods isn't fair. Some newbies feel pressured by client demands and although there are some sp's who are out to harm, they are also clients out to do worse. Death trumps extortion, and there are far more stories out there about sp's who'vde been murdered than there are about those extorted or outed, but we could go on and on about the nefarious. The fact remains, reputable ladies are easy to find and safe to screen with. If you're uncomfortable with reference providing there are a number of other ways we can screen. In the end, if you can't trust who you've chosen with your details, then why trust them with your body/health? Trust is key, in all aspects for a good date. I do find humor in some of this , as some of you expect complete anonymity yet expect sp's to show all, provide all and to do all.Example...show (face, every freckle, mole and position) , give out locales, phone numbers, emails, provide this, provide that, and then some clients will, and without consent pass out those details to others, or make them known in reviews....just silly.

A fantastic post by a veteran:YMAPPLAUSE:

Cristy, the provider could have the best intentions and some as you are fantastic ladies but unless a provider is entrusting me with her real name she would never receive my real identity. I know I would never harm a hair on anyone's head and I'm not about to risk my privacy for a one or two hour paid session.

Many of us go to great extent to protect our identities i.e. burner phones, phone apps, untraceable emails....NOT because we would ever hurt anyone but for privacy.

When a handle is given, an established handle with reviews etc....there is no need for further screening. It's either yes or no if the SP isn't comfortable with the person's online persona.

I think using one's handle here as a reviewer would be great for the screening process and would be a great incentive for more people to post reviews. That said though, I do see things from both perspectives, and this is not something that can be solved for every scenario. Yes, there are bad clients out there. Yes, there are bad providers out there. At the end of the day, the ladies will do things their way to ensure their comfort, privacy and safety, and clients will do the same. It's got to be done on a case by case, appointment by appointment basis.

I understand that I am speaking from a point of privilege. I'm well-known in the scene as a good client and can get references from top Companions in the time it takes me writing this to you. That being said, please remember the scene has changed drastically within the last 9 years I've been in it. We live in the age of HUBGFE, Twitter, Snapchat, and Industry parties. It's really not that hard to get one or two SP's to provide a referral.

Furthermore, these screening processes are not set in stone. We're not dealing with the government. There's leeway where both Companion and Client can negotiate in order for her to feel safe and him not feel compromised. If there isn't, then just go to Plan B :unknw:

If they continue to enforce for references then there is a market out there that the SP have tapped. I doubt they will lose business plus they rather lose it than be in a situation they don't want to be in.

I'm not going to judge how other ladies choose to screen, but I think it's a little extreme to try and paint our screening processes in a negative way - when the specific example is NOT the norm in this industry.

For the regular gents on here who DO see indies and attend meet and greets - well they are at an advantage in that either we have met them in person before, or at least many of our colleagues have in addition to seeing them in sessions. So yes, when they have references and are well known board members it's not as necessary for some to ask for their personal information.

But the majority of men who contact us are NOT these types of clients. Please understand we have screening procedures because most of the inquiries we get are from anonymous people, with either no board history/no board handle, no references or old references that don't work anymore and they are very vague in their inquiries.

So when you receive anonymous vague inquiries so frequently as we do in the Toronto market we have to have a way from distinguishing REAL inquiries from serious gentlemen, from time wasters too scared to ever book, creeps who just want to chat for free or ask for pics, and the real dangerous guys like batman and other trolls who are trying to fake book us to out our personal information/incall locations online. (Maybe some of you don't see this, but he does this all over the red board and blue board constantly, it's a valid concern). I personally had batman trying to fake book me and a lot of my friends under fake handles/names for over 6 months last year. So when a new inquirer does not have any reference info nor established board history - there's no other option for screening really than personal screening to know they are a real person.

I find most of the posters on HUBGFE here only see agency ladies anyway, but there are lots of readers who are too shy to post and this perspective might be valuable for them to understand.

I also find it kind of sad that there is fear mongering going around. When we tour the USA where it is ILLEGAL we seem to have no problem getting full real names from clients, along with their company information AND references and board handles. Down there it's normal and expected to prove that THEY are not cops/pimps/fake bookers etc.

So while I can appreciate that some gents are very wary and concerned about their personal information - it is on you as well to make sure you only see ladies you can trust. It's not fair to paint us all with one brush like anyone asking for personal information in lieu of a reference would do anything with your information. And if you're the type of guy who hurts/harasses ladies well you can't be surprised if your email/cell number gets blacklisted but even still that's likely the worst they will get.

Blackmailing/informing is BAD for business and we're in this business to make money and to try and stay as safe as we can. Those of us who try to show we are established, are well known and reliable should be given some credit here for our ability to be discreet. It does seem interesting to me though that those most concerned with anonymity tend to see more girls on average - so that's your choice. But many of the providers out there prefer to have regular clientele and not cater to random anonymous guys looking for a one off encounter - as safety is important to us as well.

Also any comments about avoiding deposits really irk me. When someone is unknown or requesting us to travel and they want a long date - a deposit is very useful in determining they are serious and necessary so we don't waste our time setting aside a whole day/paying for travel. It's rather ridiculous to make an offhand comment like that without any other information. Perhaps it would be more helpful to readers to say be careful of who you send deposits to in that you make sure they are a reputable provider first. It's obviously a different risk if you're asked for a deposit from someone totally unknown or who is known for having a dozen different names and numbers versus an established lady in the industry for many years. Any known provider ripping off clients would be found out about as well. And who wants to ruin their business and reputation by "stealing" a deposit of a few hundred dollars or less? Give me a break.

Again there are many more readers on here than board participants, so my comments may not be directed at you, but to the general readers to explain both sides and why some providers may operate their business with some restrictions mentioned in this thread.

I offer a non-disclosure agreement to show the patron or possible guest that any information asked for is for my safety and is not to be used to share with others or to make their lives harder. Hearing that people give fake information is disgusting and will only make you look sketchy and neurotic at the end of the day. If you can't trust me why on earth would I be able to trust you?! If you don't like it see someone else and stop whimpering about it. Have any hobbyists been raped by a man due to not screening the woman and viewing her reviews/site? I didn't think so. The law doesn't change the fact that if a woman is worth the hoops you will know this by viewing her site and social media. Pretty sure cops don't create entire twitter and instagrams and websites with reviews to entrap you. Let's get back to reality here!

I also offer options of screening to best accommodate my safety and to know them better.
