For a couple of years now I've been contemplating going and seeing this performance. Shen Yun Performing Arts Has anyone seen it and if so would you recommend the experience? I haven't treated myself to anything like this in a while and think it's time I step out again.

Haven't seen the show but it looks beautiful.

I went to see Chinese Acrobats with the family when young but this looks different, more dancing etc. Let us know how the show is if you decide to go!

It's interesting how things posted here that get a positive reaction often elicit a very negative one on the other board. I posted there and got nothing but feedback about how there's underlying Falun Gong rhetoric in the show. I find that this board is generally more tolerant. You're right, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Looks like I'll be seeing Shen Yun and Cirque du Soleil!

Go and see both of the shows.
Treat yourself - you deserve it!
View the shows with your own mind and not though the eyes of someone who only sees the negative points.
I have never seen Shen Yun but would love to see it.
I have seen some Cirque du Soleil and I was blown away by the show and the performers.
Make sure you report back and let us know what you thought of either show
