I think that the paranoia tide is rising here pretty fast.
First of all, if you don't believe in the integrity of any company then you might as well go and live in the woods, off the grid.
Second, a company who asks for your credit information is simply trying to determine whether or not they are going to take the risk of extending to you credit. They'd be foolish simply to put blind faith in you, wouldn't they?
Third, if you don't like credit card companies then go ahead and cut all of yours up. If you don't need their credit they certainly don't need you.
I think your first paragraph is going in circles and not very logical. The last sentence of your first paragraph does not make any sense at all.
The second paragraph is a bit ironic considering that you already suggested that people should pay cash and get a discount on the HST. That's breaking the law right there. :YMAPPLAUSE:
I don't have any credit cards.
Remember that
Al Capone was convicted of tax evasion, not of organized crime activity. The conviction was based on the fact that his material assets far exceeded his reported income. If someone files income tax returns stating that they clear $2,000 a month, but they pay $2,500 a month for a mortgage, they're likely to get audited, unless they can explain where the extra money comes from.
If a worker is paid by direct deposit, and all purchases are made by credit card, then the total pay, less purchases, less bank fees, less transfers, should equal the account balance. If there's a large discrepancy, the burden of proof may be placed on the individual to account for the source of the surplus funds.
With that in mind, my quoted statements are logically correct.
I'm suggesting that the police would like to have cash eliminated, for the reasons stated above. I use cash and a debit card only.
Based on your reasoning, I would conclude that you may have some financial interest in a company that acquires credit information, or you are a police apologist. You have more faith in for profit organizations than I do. Good luck with all that.
The judicial system prevents the police from obtaining whatever they want to have. If there's a dead body in the trunk of a car, and the police know it's there, they can't stop the car, and tell the driver to open the trunk. The driver's lawyer would petition the judge to exclude the body from evidence, because the evidence was not lawfully obtained, and the judge would grant that request. The Crown work with the police. The judicial system works for the people. The judicial system is not designed to convict criminals, it's designed to prevent innocent accused from being convicted.
Talk to me again, when you've had more schooling. You've just been schooled a bit here, son.
