So apparently this world is about to face the same fate as the 5 cities, in the story of Sodom and Gommorah, so I'm told. I won't say who is telling me this, but they believe this wholeheartedly and believe it because of all the "gayness" in today's society.
How do you explain to people who believe this nonsense that it is nonsense, and that being gay isn't a sin, it's as natural as being hetrosexual. I get very upset when it comes to the subject of homsexuality, and the beliefs that it is something someone chooses. I had a female friend, who committed suicide years ago, because of the stigma, and I've other male and female friends, who are gay and who often explain how hard it is for them still in 2017, to live openly gay.

A relative, someone I care about and see often. So I'm not as blunt and confrontational as I'd normally be when addressing such judgement. I was hoping someone might have some explanation I could use that could give them pause to rethink their view.

It is hard when you find out that people you know and love have these beliefs or opinions. It feels shitty ingnoring it and it never ends well if you try to change their long held beliefs. I will usually state my opion, change the subject and move on. The relationship is never quite the same after that.

They've been predicting the end for about 2000 years... and its not happened...meanwhile real, non-biblical things may kill us, like pollution, overpopulation, excessive CO2, plastic waste, etc... but Gods wrath... I don't think so. Natures wrath maybe, but not for being gay but for polluting the planet to death.

Thank you, and you are right, the more we see each other the more the subject is approached, the more stress and strain on our relationship. Sad.....
