Mobility rights under the Charter apply to citizens; not everyone.

I vaguely recall something about visas/immigration status and bodyrubber licensing, so that may affect MPs....

Now that you mention it, wasn't something like this done years ago? Like maybe 10? I remember reading about (then) how there will be a shortage of strippers because of the ban on immigration for this purpose......

I mean, there's a pretty easy way around it.....a company just has to "give" the money for an individual to come over here and apply for a visa etc then have her work for them as an employee.....did they bring her over? nope. Did she say what she was coming over to do? (not if she's smart)......

There is also a funny political reason why Harper is doing this. A few years back during the last Liberal government, Paul Martin's immigration minister had on her staff a Romanian stripper, who was grateful enough to that minister for letting her in this country that she volunteered time at her election campaign.

So it seems strippers are pro-Liberal, and I guess the Conservatives don't want another campaign worker helping them out.
