TEACHERS CARRYING GUNS

I'm supportive of responsible gun ownership, but I'm not comfortable with allowing teachers to carry. I don't like the idea of guns in classrooms, even if they are concealed and/or locked up.

I'm also not crazy about letting even the principal/VP keeping firearms in a locked cabinet. Shooting with accuracy is not easy and I don't want some weekend plinker trying to play hero with kids' lives in the balance.

I'd much rather spend the money to put alarm buttons throughout the school and into training first responders so they can be on-site within a minute of an alarm.

Not going to happen unless they are stationed on site.

Also because teachers tend to move around the furnature to please them.
Only an overt wall mounted panic could effectively be installed

to be more efficient you do it through a contracted position.
You then get a guaranteed level of professional coverage.
Rather then a dumping ground for patronage or cops about to retire or being punished



Also by it being contracted you get very little OT and the security is not costing a penny all summer if the school is closed

Private security firms seem to be the way to go though.

I might be mistaken but I believe in Israel, all citizens are required to do military service.
She is likely very qualified on that weapon and will use it.

Face it, if you went private security, you want a guy like me.
Someone who understands that criminals do not fire warning shots.
And realizes that a wounded animal is even more dangerous.

Minimum 2 years and remain in reserves till a certain age. A Country with 6 million people can put 1 million into service if need be.
