Dude is 60. Came to TO and none bother to check up him once he arrived?.

Has anyone else read anything about the possible origin of this Virus.
I find it a co-winky dink that right smack in Wuhan is a Bio lab that was working on dangerous pathogens for possible warfare.
Is China really telling the truth about this virus?
Did something get out of this lab by accident?
Why did this gentleman on the plane exhibit signs of the virus in flight and was allowed to exit the airport.
Why were all of the passengers and the crew not put into quarantine?
Why is Canada allowing any flights from China to land in Canada.
Why is China even letting them take off.
Is this a planned test of the virus by China?
The infected count and the dead count has skyrocketed in the last 24 hours.
Are we really hearing everything?

Since it originated in China we will never know the origin.
I share your suspicions on that.

Clearly, we are not. You don't lock down and quarantine entire cities with aggregate populations totaling close to 40 million people because less than a thousand cases have been confirmed. The truth is likely that the current virus outbreak in China is dramatically and drastically worse than stated, and far more widespread than the Chinese government is revealing. This will quickly become a global crisis with thousands, if not hundreds of thousands dying in the process before it is brought fully under control.

Worth noting that construction began on 2 new hospitals totaling about 4000 beds less than 2 weeks ago, and will be completed by end of THIS week. Now what do you suppose prompted the Chinese government to suddenly throw that kind of effort at a what is being described as 'not a crisis'? Two new hospitals in TWO WEEKS? Can't really be much of a serious concern, now can it? LOL!

The Wuhan coronavirus has spread throughout the world since the first cases were detected in central China in December. At least 200 people have died and more than 9,800 have been infected, as the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak a public health emergency of international concern.

China's National Health Commission has confirmed the virus can be transmitted from person to person through "droplet transmission" -- where a virus is passed on due to an infected person sneezing or coughing -- as well as by direct contact.

There are more than 140 confirmed cases of Wuhan coronavirus -- but no deaths so far -- in more than 20 countries outside mainland China.

A number of countries, such as the United States and Japan, have evacuated their nationals on flights from Wuhan, capital of Hubei province.
This is a full list of places outside mainland China with confirmed cases of the Wuhan coronavirus.

By next Thursday there will be 175,000 infected people roaming the earth. This is beyond anything we have ever seen before. This is an actual pandemic. The hyperbole wasn't hyperbole. This is real! This is it!

So we're here. Virus virtually out of control in China - the rest of the world locking Chinese out. Good news is the new hospitals are pretty much ready to go, although they'll act mostly as a morgue than as a place of healing. Would have been cheaper to dig a big hole and rent a bunch of bulldozers.

EIJING (AP) — China on Friday reported another sharp rise in the number of people infected with a new virus, as the death toll neared 1,400.

The National Health Commission said 121 more people had died and there were 5,090 new confirmed cases.
The number of reported cases has been rising more quickly after the hardest-hit province changed its method of counting them Thursday.

There are now 63,851 confirmed cases in mainland China, of which 1,380 have died.
Hubei province is now including cases based on a physician’s diagnosis and before they have been confirmed by lab tests. Of the 5,090 new cases, 3,095 fell into that category.

You can't apply our laws to a communist country........People have no rights but some have Privilege

Not getting better.

Two planes carrying 328 Americans evacuated from a coronavirus-stricken cruise liner in Japan have landed in the United States, carrying 14 people confirmed to have been infected.

Efforts are under way to trace the passengers from a second cruise ship, currently docked in Cambodia, after an American passenger tested positive for the virus.

Here are the latest developments:

● Fourteen Americans evacuated from the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan tested positive for coronavirus but were still allowed to return to the United States.
● More than 300 Americans were evacuated on the two flights.
● The number of confirmed infections in China now exceeds 70,000, with the death toll rising to 1,770.
● Japan’s health ministry reported 99 new cases from passengers and crew of the Diamond Princess, public broadcaster NHK reported. The latest results came from 504 tests. Out of 99 cases, 70 people have no symptoms.
● China’s ruling Communist Party all but confirmed that it would postpone the Two Sessions, the important and highly ritualized annual political meetings that had been due to take place in early March.

Virus has now killed more than 2000 with close to 100K infected. And this is only what the chinese government admits to. Real numbers are likely twice that, or more. New infections being reported at about 10K per DAY. Media fatigue is setting in as this crisis is falling off the top of the daily reporting, yet doesn't seem like the crisis itself is getting better overall. Does the world now have its collective head in the sand trying to ignore the severity of the situation as if it might just peter out and go away on its own? On this one, not just China seems to be royally fucked.
