So what we possibly have here is few nervous officers and a suspect who is high and can't seem to get right what they are ordering him to do.

And with the soaring crime rates and anti police behaviour the populace is showing this is a combustible situation.

Now I would really like to the think that I wouldn't have engaged in the same faulty judgment that the officers made that day but given the dangerous daily nature of their job I just might have been on high alert and done the same thing.

It is sad that an innocent man had his life cut short in that manner however.

Maurice's assessment I believe is correct. The Officers were scared and the victim was nervous and didn't deserve to die for being nervous.

The Police is going to have to review their polices on shooting to kill because the North American public is beginning to reach it's boiling point with innocent people being gunned down.

Police shootings are far from exclusive on HUBGFE. This was a tragedy and im sure if the officers involved could replay this tragedy it would have a different outcome. I do believe training programs must be revamped but the human element cannot humanly be removed.

Cristy it is hard enough to hit a stationary target at a shooting range let alone a live target in a pressure situation. That is why they are taught to shoot for the ''centre of mass'' or the torso. that gives them the highest probability of hitting their target. And when they are fearing for their lives this is crucial. Bottom line is the general public is to influenced by ''Dirty Harry'' and does not realize the reality of the situation. It does look good in the movies however.
