This powerful photo of a student protestor and a police officer crying has gone viral in Bulgaria. Here is what Buzz Feed had to say about it:

He described the scene:“This photo really moved me so much that I decided to try and raise awarenes to what is going on in my country. This girl was crying and begging the policeman not to hit her or any of her friends. Then the policeman started crying as well and he said to her: “You just hold on girl.”

This photo is from a protest happening in Bulgaria right now. Students are protesting Bulgaria’s socialist government and poverty, even chaining themselves to the doors of Sofia University. They are also clashing with the police outside of parliament.Not long after this photo was taken, it went viral on Bulgarian Facebook, and has been shared literally thousands of times.Does this photo move you?

It is a powerful image and it tells a huge story that most wouldn't get or wouldn't want to get. The vast majority of law enforcement don't want to hurt others they want to serve and protect.

If you recall the Officer Bubbles at the G20, he was just an assclown with authority, the female officer who he interrupted was doing just fine with the bubble girl.

It only takes one power tripper on either side to create chaos.

You have to wonder the anger of the police force to have to hurt the ones you have to protect. This one got me a tear:

Wow a tough one. They must do their job but to feel the pain of the officer is something I don't ever want to deal with.

I don't think their job has to involve beating the protesters down...they can use non-violent methods first and only escalate as needed. Protesters have rights, but when they get violent, I'm okay with the police using whatever force they need to to end the situation. The quicker it's over, the less chance of innocent people getting hurt (and I include the police in this). Many protesting groups want things to get out of hand to try to make their case stronger and some are just full of idiots. Protest within the law all you want, but once you cross the line, expect to be arrested...and don't resist at that point or expect to get hurt. Police are trying to keep the public safe and trying to get home safely at the end of the day.

Primo this is happening in Bulgaria where the laws are different and the way they use their force is unethical. Good points though and Curly, thanks for posting it.
