Doesn't matter which design to me. I hate drinking coffee with a lid on the cup.

As for spilling stuff on yourself while driving ... well, I don't eat fast-food or drink coffee in my vehicle. Never seem to have any spillage problems with a water bottle, though.

I prefer the sippy, that's why I usually go to Starbucks. I don't mind McDonalds but find the line up are usually too long.

There is a trick to Tim lids. You have to put the seam of the cup in the open part of the lid. Often what happens is the during the sip of coffee, a streamline forms around the rim and breaks at the cup seam and then you get the drips and spills.

I still say McD's. I like their coffee better anyway.
