just saw your post and stopped in to say hello!!!
Nope not going to any glory hole!!!
with the trouble on the other boards are you expecting a rush of visitors?
I was a lurker for a while before I decided to join and the one thing that sticks out to me is the lack of participation in the discussion area in the daytime
perhaps you may want to look at that to stimulate some members.

I would quit calling them lurkers. They are actually clients whether people realize it or not. They are clients who don't want to create a digital footprint.
Some of the people we call lurkers are business people, cautions married men, executives, ect...
Be careful. Some of those "lurkers" are actually some of the most prized clients for SP's whom have large disposal income for the hobby.

Kidding aside you are correct, especially from the twitter universe. Many on Twitter although will not admit it do look through review boards but will not review or post to seem to show they are not users of review boards.
Which is fine, everyone should be allowed to participate in this hobby how they see fit.
The GTA and Ottawa create a very unique situation in Ontario creating a large audience of Fortune 5000 employees and Federal employees. You're going to have a lot more "discretes", what I call "lurkers" vs active board members.
It's hard to call many jobs in Alberta true "white collar" occupations. Many of the White collar jobs in Alberta are actually driven by Blue Collar Corporations with Blue Collar business cultures.
I define Alberta as a "Beige Collar" market because of the heavy Blue Collar influence on White Collar occupations.
The GTA is a true White Collar paradise. Your going to have more people participating discretely no matter how hard you try to change them into posters.
