Treating women truly as equals is a great thing

I'm new here, and starting to explore the lobby...

I can't wade through umpteen pages on yet another man vs woman topic... so if what I'm about to say has been said, apologies in advance...

We only have this one life to live. How we live it is up to us. If it floats your boat to be self centered and not reach out a helping hand to others if you see the need, so be it. Our goal in life is to find some shred of happiness before we die. If the above makes you happy, so be it. I won't judge. Paying for dinner is something I like to do if I'm the one asking the other out, man or woman. And if they were of like mind, they would offer to pay the next time we go out. Everyone has to justify their own actions to themselves in some way. Me, I feel that as long as you're not hurting anyone else in your pursuit to happiness, then go for it. But, if you failed to hold open a door for the person behind you, and that person was an elderly, infirm, or otherwise incapacitated with a stroller, grocery bags, etc, then that would be uncivil in my mind. Focus on the situation, not the person, that is my motto.

I sent Peace to SE Asia on a "fact finding mission". He won't be back for a while. After that, he'll need bed-rest with no visitors for a few weeks.

Sounds great, but the contract I signed with "Madman Travel & Internut Soshal Mediyum Guurus" doesn't expire for another 6,000 years. They said they would get me on FaceSpace, LinkedOut, and SnapPlace within the next decade.
