TORONTO - Toronto Police released video of a brutal beating in the city’s club district in hopes of identifying the thugs behind the attack.
“A large group of men” approached several young people, who were buying hot dogs from a vendor in the John-Front Sts. area around 3 a.m. on March 30, Toronto Police said.
The groups got into a verbal arguement which quickly escalated.
“The men began kicking and punching the young people, causing serious injuries” in an attack caught on surveillance video, police said in a release.
The attackers are believed to be in their early 20s and have olive skin. One of them was wearing a white shirt and white pants and sported a distinctive “faux-hawk” hairstyle. Police believe he was driving a white, four-door 2004-2008 Mercedes CLS.
Investigators urged anyone with information to call 416-808-5200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
