Water filters good or bad....

Anyone have a good experience with a filter or filter system for water other than the brita. Anytime I use the brita filter I get that black dust in the water, no matter how often I rinse it or change it.I think it important to filter water especially for my dogs as chlorine is supposed to very harmful to them. Apparently long term ingestion of chlorinated water causes skin growths on dogs, lipomas and such. Thanks

Tap water is fine for me. I have tried all the filters on the market and still prefer good old tap water. Of course, out in nature, I do use a filter.

Only if you replace it before it gets old and acquires bacteria. Tap water is good enough for my dog then good enough for me.

i don't like useing filtered water unless truly required, in the end it is being run through a bunch of chemicals.

I started out with a Santevia

Then I pondered switching to a Berkley

But now I'm buying my water from a store in my area called fittingly enough ''The Water Store''

The set up was about $50 and I go through 4 big blue jugs a month. Which runs me about $12.

PLUS, I had the same filter Cristy was talking about, the black specks in water is a turn off. Would rather just buy a case of those bottled waters that go on sale for a $1 at the store................that is if the tap water is just unbearable to drink.

Sorry, no. Those filters are covered by so many regulations and tests that there's no contamination in the ultra pure carbon used in them.

All I'm saying is I don't like things floating around in my water that look like cigarette ash...............along with that funky strong mineral chemicl taste.

I know the exact filter she's talking about, I had it. My first brita filter never ran deposits like that because I ran water through it as it instructed........I just hate using them all now.

We humans are supposed to be drinking Crystal Clear, Crisp Fresh Water.....But instead we humans have polluted the earth, and rely on such mechanisms as a half assed solution to the problem we have created...

They are trying to scare you to buy their product. Don't pay attention and enjoy free tap water.

The floating black stuff is activated charcoal and it won't hurt you one bit. In fact, we will ask people to swallow activated charcoal if they swallowed something nasty, as it will get absorbed by the charcoal.
