For sure. I only go to places where the trails are groomed or get a lot of traffic and the snow always hard packed with just a bit of powder on top sometimes. I like hardwood hills only in the summer but in the winter they have only double track open for fat bikes. I don't mind racing on double track but in general prefer single track. If you like or want to ride a fatty I can name you or show you many places where you can ride single track for hours.

I asked him the same thing. There's very low markup on the bikes and he makes his money on accessories and service.

My next purchase.... Domane SL7

prefer racing bike (road bike). :)

I also ride the skinny bike racer, needs a tune up but I'm looking forward to Spring.
When I was a kid I did the trick bike thing and built my own Mountain bike before there was such a thing.

My wife has a Trek. I was trying to get her into mountain biking but I think I trained her too hard and now she barely rides with me. There are plenty of places for fat biking but my favorite are Turkey Point, Durham Forest and Midhurst. I tried posting the links but it doesn't work fot me. If you join singletracks you can find many places to go to. If any of you guys want to get into the sport of winter fat biking I could always show you the trails and be a guide.

Awesome. I prefer road biking. Did the MB thing when I was younger and had better knees. I'm more in to the endurance instead of the all out workout. You must be a tank if you do this regular. Props.

Yes I ride at least 5 days a week. I like to race sometimes so I have to train regularly. When I race in fat biking it's always hard to compete with roadies because they always beat me on uphills and I beat them on downhills. But I find roadies have better endurance them mountain bikers so I will have to start riding road if I want to stand on the podium. On the downhills they always start breaking while I am peddling down but being a good climber usually gives you a better chance of winning. So maybe in the summer I will get some tight spandex, get myself a road bike and spend less time doing downhill at Bromont and Blue and ride more road.

Haven't ridden lately but still have my old school Bianchi SLX road bike. Its quite retro with manual down tube shifters and Look clipless pedals. Integrated shifters were just coming in when I bought the bike.

Endurance is my friend too....ride all the time. Regarding mountain.....im not a tank. :Crying/:
I have a trek racing bike from 2001...all aluminum. I have another Trek Bike...i think 2006 or so but the front fork is carbon....the rest not...but wow what a difference.

So much in common other than the love of pussy....what a wonderful world. :LMAO:

I have been riding a Norco hybrid the last few years. I ride a combo of road and trails. Used to do a lot of distance riding on my road bikes.
I dusted off my road bike in the fall, put a new front tire on and pumped 120 psi into the tires. After riding the hybrid it was great to feel the stiff frame and the zero rolling resistance on the skinny hard tires again. Little wasted energy from frame flex and tires. It was like driving my dear departed Merc 500 compared to my truck.
But holy crap I felt every grain of sand I ran over.
Giving the road bike a makeover this winter. Going to mix it up this year with bike selection. Can't wait.

You need to get a fat bike and ride some trails in the winter. I used to be a downhill guy but I fell in love with winter riding. If you get a fatty don't get tires more then 4". More then that is just an overkill.

I don't know if I want to tell you guys what happened tonight.....It was fucking AWESOME!!!
