Who's Afraid of Genetically Altered Organisms ?

I realize that what train is saying is true
I was actually referencing taste.
As has been pointed out, GM foods are grown on farms, so plenty of the "farm-fresh foods" you enjoy are GM. Still makes no sense.

suffice to say there is a difference in taste between the stuff you get at a store and stuff that is farm fresh.....But that is what I indicated in my previous posts.

Given a choice I would avoid the genetically modified foods but as you point out that is difficult.

+1
Ps. My deceased grandparents lived on a farm and I could tell you that its fruits, vegetables, chickens, pigs (even papasmerf would love the taste), etc tasted way better than what I currently buy from "GMO" stores.

I lived on a farm, too, and farm-fresh eggs from free-range chickens are a LOT better than store-bought factory eggs. But they are not convenient.

Fresh-slaughtered pigs taste a lot better than the store-bought processed pork with preservatives in it, but it's not convenient.

You want non-processed foods? Grow it yourself. But you'll find it's too much effort.

Growing up you selection of fruits and veggies, at the store were seasonal. Sure you could get taters, onions, celery, carrots and lettuce, stuff like that year round. Hell we even called winter tomatoes HOT HOUSE TOMATOES and they was not that good.......Kinda tasted like the crap tomatoes you get year round now at the supermarkets.

I understand but "effort" was not an issue with my grandparents. So some may not mind it at all.

Right. So what you meant to say was that you'd rather have GMOs from a farm than GMOs from a store.
Sure thing.
Nothing to do with GMOs, though.

5 posts to your name all in the same thread and in support of Genetic Modification, interesting.

LOL When all else fails, spurious ad hominem, I guess. Because it COULDN'T be that someone is just in favour of science over pseudo-science and quackery. ;)
But, again, you seem to be SUPPORTING an attack on GMOs, despite your protestations otherwise. At least have the honesty to own up to your argument.

that is 6
and if by support I profess a preference towards non-altered food stock, you are correct.

At least I know which side of the science / fiction side you're on. Thanks. :) Your preference is based on ... what, exactly? 'Cause as has been pointed out to you, it ain't taste.
Let's see if you can keep counting. LOL

I thought you said you preferred "farm fresh" foods. This has nothing to do with GM or not GM, and you almost certainly have no idea what is or isn't GM when you buy from a farm.
So, try again?

BTW lighten up you will feel better.

Aaaaand scene. I'm always glad to know when someone has given up. Thanks. The only dancing was yours ... around the issue. ;) And you should take your own advice - lighten up. Stop worrying about things you know nothing about. You'll live longer. Leave science to the scientists.

Wanna bet you can't tell "organic" produce from the stuff we buy in Costco in a repeatable double-blind test?
