Agree on this?

I am going on a diet and trying to find helpful tricks. I may change my mind tomorrow but one never knows.

Count your calories, easy as that. Don't consume more than 2500 and you will not gain weight. Consume less= lose weight.

Got that?.

For women is 2000 calories.

I didn't watch the video, but there is no secret to losing weight, you just have to burn more calories than you consume. Why some people eat to much, often is because they use food as a comfort, an activity, instead of sustenance. Food is fuel for our bodies, not entertainment for our senses. But we all dump into ourselves what we need at the time of need:)

Unfortunately, that is not true for a lot of people put there.

Remember our bodies are not closed systems so therefore the laws of thermodynamics sometimes do not apply.

It's not just a calories in calories out issue. Would 1000 calories of ice cream equal 1000 calories of fruits and vegetables for weight loss?

One's hormones and biochemistry have everything to do with it. As well as the macro nutrient value of the foods we consume.

Thanks for your perspective and you may be right. But there will always be split beliefs when it comes to the topic of human thermodynamics. This is a discussions good for nntsci to weigh in on, lol. This article is also an interesting read on the subject:) Thanks for your response:) Calories, Thermodynamics, and Weight – Science-Based Medicine

That's a great article that everyone should read. Good job CC.

I worked in the fitness/health/ weight loss industry for years.

In my opinion there doesn't seem to be one sure fire approach to permanent weight loss and health. The answer seems to be multi factorial.

Unfortunately that usually involves a lot of trial and error. And above all else patience.

As someone with a hoarding metabolism, I've tried it all. Because I have an under active thyroid and insulin resistance, I had a doctor recommend the Simeon's protocol 10 years ago and haven't had a problem since. I'm always willing to try wellness hacks and have found a wealth of information on Articles - portal - LongeCity that have helped as well.

I agree that there is no set strategy for everyone, it has to be something that feels right for you and is doable. Any action that you will take and sustain is a positive step forward. The key is finding the tricks that allow you to stay on track...

Thanks for that link, and sorry to go off topic, but the topic of gut microbiome looks interesting. Pre -probiotics has always been key imo to over all health, reading this should give me more insight:)

That was an interesting article Anto, thanks for posting it. To think that I will eat a a whole pizza....yikes. Thankfully those days are few and far between. Pizza just doesn't get my taste buds tempted much anymore.
