Feminism can only succeed if both genders are treated and respected equally. No old fashioned comments nor punishing today's men for past oppression toward women. Let's learn from our history and treat EVERYONE equally.

Take away social programs and the left can't survive. A leftist believes in taking from others instead of trying to survive on their own. To a leftist, a man who works 10 hours a day and only gives half his money to the government to support social programs is scum; but someone who refuses to work but who demands entitlements from the government is a wonderful person.

It will never stop though as long as you have big government and social programs. Take away social programs and force people to work for a living and 90% of the problems in society will go away.

Many movements (e.g. unions, feminism, etc.) in society start out for the right reason, due to a true lack of rights on the part of one group compared to another and with the right intention to balance the situation.

Like many things in life the pendulum can and will swing too far. Unions are big business in and of themselves now, with possible corruption occurring within and some women, not all, use past gross imbalances (e.g. there was a time in our history that if a woman left her abusive husband she had zero rights to property, even if it had been bequeathed to her and zero access to her children as she had to forfeit everything with no right to court proceedings) to justify possible favouritism on the part of the courts today.

We rarely find true balance in this world!
