People forget Canada is 2 million shy of being California and we already have twice as many review boards as they do.

My gut tells me there's not enough reviewers to go around in Canada to keep building more review boards. Building more boards doesn't really help ladies make more money. The point of paying for advertising is to get a return on the investment.

Building too many review boards = segmenting the clients into smaller groups = increasing advertising cost for ladies to reach clients over a larger number of of websites.

Are some of these boards owned by the same people? I think some might be thinking that they'll have that special something that will draw in more hobbyists and sp's drowning out their competitors.

xxx reviews and xxxxx have a partnership. Whatever that means?

Fred has his three boards. Xxxxx bought VanCity but nothing has come of it. Chillman killed off BCAF. BCAF wasn't doing well.

The other problem people don't consider, 4.5% - 8% of the members on any review board generate 80-85% of the reviews.

Hopefully this is not confusing.

You actually have to convince 25% of the 5% of guys contributing content from another site in a segement that has 10-15% of the overall market share to help produce content for a new site.

I tired saying that out loud and it doesn't roll off the tongue easy.

Cutting that sliver of a pie into a new review board may actually involve moving crumbs around given the small percentage of members who actually contribute content. These numbers reflect the top performing forums in Canada and the US.

HUBGFE and xxxxx have a partnership? Seriously? please tell me no, as I will not have anything to do with anything spxxx even touches. I heard Lyla/cerb is for sale...

Ahh... I'm surprised that some known sp's are following anything that creep has his hands in...Some of those following these "people" who run crap sites are known ladies. Some of these ladies are also known for advocating for improvements within the industry and also for etiquette for both clients and sps. Yet they give their $$ to these crap sites for advertising? Isn't this hypocritical to say the least? If you are going to advocate for this industry but then advertise on those crap sites, you are cheapening your advocacy, imo and encouraging and aiding in the growth of a fucktard.

xxx Reviews the Alberta Review Board supposedly has a partnership with xxxxx.

I consider HUBGFE my home forum and would not post reviews anywhere else. The online community on other board was a harsh awakening for me, but I learned to toughen my skin. It may only be words on a screen, but words on a screen can still hurt if you let them. I'm comfortable here. I'm free to voice my opinions and see other voice theirs.

Xxx came to their senses and banned XXxxx, deleted his ads and xxxxx'd the board name just like we do.

People are more complicated then we would like to admit. People who think sex sells shouldn't be allowed to market anything. Those powerful marketing tool in the world is our egos, our desire to be accepted and our compulsions to be praised for everything we do.

Our egos are our primary driving force in our lives. Our ego equally has the potential to compel us to make a good decision or bad decision.

It's not always as simple as right or wrong, good or bad. It's why so many people love shows like the Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead. The characters in those shows relate to us since they are as morally complicated as people are in real life.

Interesting, perspective. Your last point which I highlighted in red, isn't true for some, like myself, who only see black and white. Those of us who do, do think things are as simple as right/wrong, good/bad. Perhaps that's why it's hard for some to have discussions with me and for me to accept another's point of view:) I do try and see gray, but trying seldom supersedes my ingrained black n whiteness. Btw, those shows I don't watch.

I did enjoy Game of Thrones and Walking Dead for a while but they've devolved to being soap operas with blood and sex.

Personally, I cannot see the world in black or white. To me, to do so means not accepting extenuating circumstances, and not accepting that we don't always know all the facts that make people make one decision versus another.

Some of those crap sites have a ton of members who don't care what happens behind the curtain. They just want to pay for sex and leave, and the ads and reviews provide them with a means to an end. For the providers who advertise on those sites, it comes down to reaching as many people as possible and making their advertising dollars stretch. It's just business. You can disagree with someone on full fundamental levels yet yet reach business agreements at the end of the day.

But here in lies the dilemma, for some of us it isn't just business, when we say we are in it by choice and to have fun, that it isn't just a business transaction, we mean it. The dilemma for me is that many promote themselves this way to get business, yet are quite the contrary, and are in it just for $$, so their advocacy and other blibber blabber is just show. But I suppose that is there business, yet I just wish realism and authenticity actually meant what they meant when used by many in this biz. So..... and since chemistry is important to me, and if I fundamentally disagree with someone, especially about things I'm passionate about, chances are I won't meet with them. Because and again, for me this isn't just about making money and collecting reviews, it's about meeting someone and sharing genuine intimacy, and that requires more than just a business transaction:)

And this just happened within the past week, a gent called and we had a lovely conversation, when he mentioned he was a pit owner, I cooed, and thought he was perfect....until he started talking about how he trained his dog, and other misnomers about the breed. This person was looking for a two hour session-550$ I would have made.....but I said no, I didn't like his way of thinking about dogs and a couple other things so I happily rejected the 550 and him:)

A lot of ladies wouldn't have this opportunity. In depth conversations before an appointment is agreed upon is rare. Perhpas in a social setting like the HUBGFE party or Mirage Xmas party, you would have an opportunity to get to know each other for a brief moment, but the majority of the time, it's rare.

I think if some of the SP's knew who or what type of character the client is, they might not want to see him or her for that matter as they don't see eye to eye on a particular subject that each is passionate about. This has been true for some of my regulars that I get to know on a more personal level. When I find that there are certain aspects of her life that I don't agree with, she will not be booked again.

In a totally back and white world the industry would not exist and there would be no clients or escorts. There's a few billion shades of grey because every body has different standards for what they perceive to be black or white issues.

The entire industry exists within those different shades of grey.

There's plenty of people putting on white hats trying to shutdown BP and other escort advertising sites.

The industry heavily depends on married men willing to cheat on their wives and SO's. That's a pretty huge shade of grey.

@Fuggetabouit -well that is an advantage of being indy, you get to choose:) @Fiddy-men cheating on their wives I suppose could be considered a grey area, as some have extenuating circumstances as to why they do it, yet for most, it would be a black or white issue-either right or wrong and most see screwing around on your partner as being wrong.

When it comes to serious crimes like murder, sexual assault, drug dealing, spousal abuse, and so-on it's easy to get everyone to agree on black hat vs white hat issues.

Trying to get 25 people in a room to agree on whether lesser morally ambiguous issues are black, white or one the numerous shades of grey becomes an impossible task.
