A woman is dead after she deliberately crashed her car into a brick wall at an Oshawa high school, Durham Regional Police say.
Sgt. Bill Calder, spokesperson for the police force, said the car smashed into a wall at Eastdale Collegiate Vocational Institute Wednesday morning. They described it as “deliberate.”
Durham District School Board confirmed classes at the high school have been cancelled for the day.
The school’s website also confirmed a class trip to Stratford was cancelled.
Calder said police received the call around 5 a.m., however it is not clear what time the crash actually occurred.
Police are on scene investigating.
