bolt, I recently hit the motherlode of vintage, lowbrow porn, at a junk shop on Queen Street. This guy has stacks of vintage, pamphlet porn from the 50's, 60's, and early 70's, at dirt cheap prices. This was his father's private stash, inherited. I got about a hundred of them, at a buck a piece!

Among them: Chicks 'n' Chuckles #1, (1955), with Bunny Yeager on the cover:

They're not in mint condition, but they have all the pages and cover intact. Other titles:

Photo and Body, (Bettie Page cover), People Today, Pose!, Tempo, She, Picture Life, Man's Point of View, Focus, Glance, Point, Bold, Dare, Show, Sensation, Inside, and Men's Digest.

Sample cover headlines:

Scoop! Inside a Sheik's Harem, $$ Question: After High School - What?, Vest Pocket Venuses, I Was Forced Into Sin, How Reds Plot to Get Aly Khan, Life of a Geisha Girl, A Teenage Sadist Confesses, Russia's Masculine Women, Exclusive! Parisian Love School, Lesbians - New Danger to Girls, The Negro is Big Business, Dormitory Dolls - How Wild?, Sinatra's Problem Teenager, Tab Hunter's Double Life.

I also got a few larger pamplet mags from the 1960's, with headlines like: People Who Love Pain, True Crime: The Rape of Oolamik!, African Methods of Prolonging Love, Sex Sins Girls Must Commit, How to Succeed in Business: Prostitute Secretaries, Perverts Meet Down Under, and Big Girls Beg For More.

In one of these mags, all of the models have expressions on their faces like they, or their boyfriend, owe money to the Mob!

The classified ads are even funnier. These magazines were mostly on pulp paper, with 15 cents cover price. The target market appears to be minimum wage dullards, guys in jail and military enlisted men, (guys who moved their finger, and their lips, while reading), with close to high school education, and no clue about anything of any depth, but with a keen interest in lurid low brow gossip, baseball, and tits.

The classified ads are the best, most being similar to those in comic books, (x-ray specs, etc), but also ads for replica pistols and stiletto knives, 100 foot stag films, fake police badges, get rich quick schemes, and 'boudoir photography', all designed to scam the naive out of their meager take home pay. I swear, I'm going to be buried with these! These are the kind of mags 'Uncle Larry' used to keep in his underwear drawer! You're probably one of the few here who could fully appreciate this sort of trash literature.

Lol! I didn't have anything quite that old, and I got rid of my collection of Playboy and Penthouse magazines when I got married. It seemed to bother my wife for some reason. If you look around those junkshops, you may find something that was out of my collection--I gave them to a coworker who has since died--I have no idea what happened to them after that.

Jethro, I also picked up a few vintage Penthouse issues, pre-75. The oldest was vol 1, no. 10. Of interest to the ladies, six issues of Viva, (1974/75), a 'women's porn' mag, produced by Penthouse, and perhaps the only issue ever published of "He and She", a 1975 'couples porn' magazine, with no advertising! I didn't even know that one existed. My guess is that most of the print run went straight to the shredder. The distributors probably didn't want people to be able to read something like that. I can't even find it listed on the Internet.

Some of the cartoons in those old Penthouse mags are so 'alien', by modern standards, like a picture of Santa Claus injecting heroin into his forearm. There was a cartoon like that on Youtube, until recently, from the 1930's, but they took it down. Some jazz musician was playing a trombone in hell, and his horn turned into a syringe for a few frames. I can't remember what that one was called.

Among the mags I didn't buy, a few "Puritans" - this was an 'under the counter' hard core mag, with cum shots, from the late 70's. I've seen those before, but never had the desire to possess one myself. Understandably, the models were somewhat less than wholesome; erotica I like, smut, not so much. That stuff's for the 'raincoat' crowd. Still, it's difficult to not flip through one of those, just for the experience, but it's a bit like rubber-necking at a grisly car accident. You really feel like washing your hands after looking at a magazine like that, even if none of the pages were stuck together. Some of the old mags had a few pages ripped out; that was probably by cops, if one of the models looked underage, but wasn't. They like to do things like that, just to show that they have small dicks.

In a couple of cases, the model WAS under eighteen, but the age of consent, in the country of publishing, was under 18, at the time of publication. Those don't interest me in the least; mosquito-bite tits are for a different audience than we. I'll be back there after the long weekend; there's some stuff in the basement, even the shop owner doesn't know he has. Paper porn is so much more civilized than streaming stuff on the Internet. I can't watch that shit; at my age, it's like watching kids, even though the models are 18+. Today, that means that Britney Spears became a star before they were born.

Off to earn. I'll have something new to say next week.

Sorry to sway off topic, but I'll give some insight as to why they *may* have bothered your wife. She probably felt threatened by them. Some men and women are insecure and uninformed or just don't understand sexuality. Good that you got rid of them, as they probably would have caused some unnecessary squabbles.

That's sad but true, Cristy. Sad that a grown woman could be intimidated by a piece of paper. It inhibits her ability to withhold sex, from a man she owns.

But it is more than a piece of paper to some, to some it's another woman. As far as anyone owing another, lol, Flash, you know better. It is the man that owns the woman:wink2: Just kidding.
