The State Attorney's Office in Tallahassee, Fla., released surveillance video on Monday showing FSU quarterback De'Andre Johnson punching a female student at a bar a month ago. Johnson was already suspended indefinitely due to the accusations and was dismissed from the university later Monday night following the videos release.

The quarterback currently faces a misdemeanor battery charge in connection with the incident.

According to Tomahawk Nation and other media reports, the victim suffered multiple injuries to her face and was treated on the scene by medics. After an arrest warrant was issued, Johnson turned himself in before being released on a $500 bond.

Johnson, a Jacksonville product, was an early enrollee for the ‘Noles, arriving on campus this past January. He played in the defending ACC champs' spring game, in which he threw two touchdowns. The 247Sports Composite rating graded Johnson as a three-star.

Now gentlemen, who are calling him a coward and a bastard, why is it alright for her to threaten him and assault him? She raised her hand against him not once, but twice. Why is there no mention of her being disciplined? That's right, because she's a girl (flutter her eyelashes and break out the puppy eyes and pouty lip), and she was probably drunk, so that's all the excuse she needs for her poor behavior.

I'm sorry, I don't care who you are, you raise a hand against someone, you had better damned well be ready to face the consequences. I guess I'm not a gentleman like most here, and I refuse to let someone hit me, or threaten to hit me, repeatedly. I will respond.

Sorry to those who felt it right that he swung and hit because she raised her fist first. Notice I said raised, she didn't hit as he did and no matter, men aren't supposed to hit women, period, end of fucking sentence! Walk away, turn away, but don't hit, it can't be justified!

Why would he stand there if all that was going on, why wouldn't he have left, or done something else and why is it that some always have to take "it" to the nth level to prove a point? Any GENTLEMAN will walk away from a confrontational woman, call police, do something, other than hit back. Of course and I'm sure there are exceptions, one being, if he felt his life threatened, obviously, but in general, men, when they see a woman raise her hand, can and should diffuse the situation somehow other than being physical. How many women do you know that are stronger than most men you know?

Aww come on!! This isn't an argument where you can compare equality in the work place and fights, geez!! Women aren't looking for cake we simply want to be treated equally when we give the same level of performance, and that doesn't mean we can do the same tasks at the same speed or with the same strength, etc, but we can still accomplish them and perhaps add something to them that a male couldn't. Any discussion can be twisted though to form your justification. So there are some here that think it okay to hit women, that's good, just as long as you can live with that. My dad,uncles, grandfathers, brother, cousins, brother in laws, male friends, would all disagree with you though.

Seriously, he was violently grabbing her arm. She tried to escape from his grip. Perhaps yelling for help in such a crowded place would be best to alleviate or defuse the situation. No need to punch him and he should have respected her physical boundaries in the first place. Meanwhile, there was no need to punch her in the face. :no:

Peace, watch it again. If that's too diffuse for you, read my initial post where I break what happened down.

Did he grab her arms? Yes...After she pushed him away with her left arm, and clearly made a fist with her right.

Cristy, so it's OK that he faces charges, yet she, by the definition, assaulted him twice and she suffers no consequences ?
