Thanks for the thought, bob.

Not a thought, Sarah, a voluntary oath of obligation, and a responsibility since fulfilled, in #19.

The Thanks button has been disabled for me intermittently the last few days. I don't know if that has applied to everyone else, as well, or if it's something only I was experiencing. When I restarted Firefox today, the function was restored. Perhaps having more than one browser window of HUBGFE open at the same time was a factor.

While YouTube was founded on Feb. 14, 2005, Thursday marks the 10th anniversary of the first video uploaded to the site.

Uploaded on April 23, 2005, the low-resolution 18-second video is rather banal by today's standards. Called "Me at the zoo," it features co-founder Jawed Karim in front of the elephant pen at the San Diego Zoo fascinated by their long trunks.

YouTube had a public beta in May 2005 and officially launched in November. Google bought the video-sharing site in November 2006 for US$1.65 billion. Now more than 300 hours of footage is uploaded to the site every minute and the site has more than 800 million unique visitors a month.

Meanwhile, Me at the zoo has more than 19.7 million views. You can watch it below. Mobile users click here.

Can you believe they are only 10 years old.
