Ashley Madison out of business?

Oh, the hackers are doing it well, releasing one name at a time, rather than all of them at once. That way it has maximum impact. Individuals are publicly humiliated (the best kind of humiliation). If they released all 35 million names now, then people could still hide, anonymously among everybody else. :whip:

So this guy payed the $19.00 to have his name scrubbed from the site. Why wasn't it? Ashley Madison has to answer for this in some way.

That's actually one of the major talking points about this case. A lot of people paid the $19 for the scrubbing, and it was all bullshit, they didn't do anything at all.

That's why you sign up for these sites with fake names....like Fang Cardinale.....from Pittsburgh, PA.

That doesn't work once you give them your credit card number, which requires your full real name.

Actually Prim0 has me dead to rights. How he figured out my real name by flipping my handle and adding an arrogant vowel to my name is beyond me.

I'm impressed.....

Ashley Madison hack is not only real, it’s worse than we thought
Intimate data for more than 30 million accounts, keys to Windows domain published.

The massive leak attributed to the hackers who rooted to the Ashley Madison dating website for cheaters has been confirmed to be genuine. As if that wasn't bad enough, the 10 gigabytes of data—compressed, no less—is far more wide-ranging than almost anyone could have imagined.

Researchers are still poring over the unusually large dump, but already they say it includes user names, first and last names, and hashed passwords for 33 million accounts, partial credit card data, street names, and phone numbers for huge numbers of users, records documenting 9.6 million transactions, and 36 million e-mail addresses. While much of the data is sure to correspond to anonymous burner accounts, it's a likely bet many of them belong to real people who visited the site for clandestine encounters. For what it's worth, more than 15,000 of the e-mail addresses are hosted by US government and military servers using the .gov and .mil top-level domains.

RCMP, military email addresses in Canadian Ashley Madison data

Over 600 federal government email addresses appear on a list of people who subscribed to the Canadian-owned Web site Ashley Madison, which caters to married people hoping to have an affair.

A total of 163 subscribers appeared to have used the @forces.gc.ca domain assigned to the military. Sixteen came from the RCMP, and one address was registered to the secretive Communications Security Establishment, which guards government communications.

Some 222 Ontario government email addresses appear on the data, including 118 from the province’s Ministry of the Attorney General, which administers the province’s courts.

After eliminating duplicates, there are 273,320 ‘.ca’ or Canadian-registered, email addresses in the data.

Fourteen addresses appear to belong to people working in the federal prison system, and ten from the foreign service.

In all, at least 62 addresses are assigned to Canadian police forces, with 11 from Ontario’s Peel Regional Police and seven from the Toronto police.

On Tuesday, hackers apparently made good on threats to publish data on 32 million users of the service.

Experts said the data appeared to be authentic, in the sense of actually being from ashleymadison.com and not faked. However, the quality of the original data is questionable – users didn’t have to verify their email addresses when they started an account.

However, the majority of the Canadian addresses seem to at least plausibly belong to real people.

Over 15,000 addresses in the Ashley Madison data are linked to U.S. federal, state or local government agencies. They include 6,788 U.S. Army addresses, and U.S. Navy addresses linked to specific warships – 18 sailors aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge apparently used the service.

Email addresses are also linked to federal and state correctional officers.

Governments have long recognized that people hiding an affair from a spouse are vulnerable to blackmail.

In 2012, retired U.S. Army Gen. David Petraeus was forced to resign as director of the Central Intelligence Agency after his affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell, came to light.

That's why I don't bother with the other blue board. It's playing Russian Roulette with your IP address.

Family Values Activist Josh Duggar Had a Paid Ashley Madison Account

In 2013, conservative reality TV star Josh Duggar—of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting fame—was named the executive director of the Family Research Council, a conservative lobbying group in D.C. which seeks “to champion marriage and family as the foundation of civilization, the seedbed of virtue, and the wellspring of society.” During that time, he also maintained a paid account on Ashley Madison, a web site created for the express purpose of cheating on your spouse.

In May 2015, Duggar was forced to resign after In Touch Weekly reported that he had molested five young girls (four of whom were his own sisters) beginning in 2002. When the accusations became public, the family went into crisis mode, insisting that Josh had reformed and that the media covering the claims was intent on “exploiting women.”

Josh himself took to his family’s Facebook page to absolve himself of his past indiscretions and assure the world he was back on a righteous path:

Twelve years ago, as a young teenager I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends. I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation. We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling. I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life. I sought forgiveness from those I had wronged and asked Christ to forgive me and come into my life. I would do anything to go back to those teen years and take different actions. In my life today, I am so very thankful for God’s grace, mercy and redemption.

And his wife, for her part, certainly seemed to believe it:

And when you, our sweet fans, first met me when Josh asked me to marry him... I was able to say, “Yes” knowing who Josh really is - someone who had gone down a wrong path and had humbled himself before God and those whom he had offended. Someone who had received the help needed to change the direction of his life and do what is right. I want to say thank you to those who took time over a decade ago to help Josh in a time of crisis. Your investment changed his life from going down the wrong path to doing what is right.

But data released online in the wake of the hack on Ashley Madison’s servers certainly seems to show otherwise.

According to the data, Josh Duggar was paying Ashley Madison in order to find an extramarital partner for the following acts:

“Conventional Sex,” Experimenting with Sex Toys,” One-Night Stands,” “Open to Experimentation,” “Gentleness,” “Good With Your Hands,” Sensual Massage,” “Extended Foreplay/Teasing,” “Bubble Bath for 2,” “Likes to Give Oral Sex,” “Likes to Receive Oral Sex,” “Someone I Can Teach,” “Someone Who Can Teach Me,” “Kissing,” “Cuddling & Hugging,” “Sharing Fantasies,” “Sex Talk.”

And here are the turn-ons that he offered up in service of finding a compatible person other than his wife with which to engage in those acts:

“A Professional/Well Groomed,” “Stylish/Classy,” “Casual Jeans/T-shirt Type,” “Muscular/Fit Body,” ”Petite Figure,” “Tall Height,” “Short Height,” “Long Hair,””Short Hair,” “Girl Next Door,” “Naughty Girl,” “Sense of Humor,” “Imagination,” “Creative and Adventurous,” “Relaxed and Easy Going,” “Aggressive/Take Charge Nature,” “Confidence,” “Discretion/Secrecy,” “A Good Listener,” “Good Personal Hygiene,” “Average Sex Drive,” “High Sex Drive,” “Dislikes Routine,” “Has a Secret Love Nest,” “Disease Free,” “Drug Free,” and “Natural Breasts.”
