Best donuts-sweets-sandwiches vs worst?.

I drive a lot during working days and get hungry often in the car. I like to stop for a quick Boston cream puff, cinnamon roll or anything sweet that my stomach graves at any given time.

I don't understand how Dunkin' donuts and Second cup stays in business. I tried them a few times, their donuts, sweets are always stale. Don't even bothering ordering a sandwich there. Was driving North today and didn't have a choice but to stop at Dunkin' donuts. I figured not all locations can be that bad. I asked the young girl if the Boston cream puff was made this morning. She said, I presume so Damn-Not too smart. Should've walked away. It was stale and at least a day old.

Tim Horton's wins if you want a quick fix. Their sweets are always fresh the custard from the cream puff just explodes when you bite it. Unlike the others that doesn't move even if you shake it. Haven't tried Timothy's or Starbucks because most of their locations don't have ample parking lots.

The Cammisso brothers and California sandwiches makes the best Veal sandwiches. Burgers are burgers, once you add sauteed onions, spicy peppers, mushrooms, mayo, mustard and ketchup...well they are all very eatable.


Share your favorites just in case I see one and may try your recommendations.

Agree on the sweets but Tim's sandwiches are a joke. Their bread is never cooked through and they skim you on the meats.

Now here is a thread I can sink my sweet teeth into, lol I had a boston cream donut yesterday,after my butter laden popcorn, box of mike ikes and large sprite, yikes!! My favorite donuts are jelly filled ones. Tims is fine for donuts, since I'm not a connoisseur. For a good sandwich I like Quizno's or subway.But I'm a simple girl with an obvious appetite for junk, lol.

lol, it'd be stupid thing to lie about....but anyho...those who know me know my eating habits I've been lucky, good metabolism and going to the gym also helps, but I'm sure in time it'll ALL catch up with me. Might be already happening, since I can't fit into last summers jeans but I'll just buy larger ones, rather have bigger jeans, than a smaller appetite Eat on, lol.

Best sweets can be found at most Chinese bakeries.

The Chinese like sweet things, but they don't want them to be as sweet and sugar-laden as regular, North American inspired bakeries. Go to any Chinese bakery in the well-established Chinese neighbourhoods and you will find a great selection of not-to-sweet offerings.

Or, if you can't make it to a traditional Chinese bakery, try T&T supermarkets. Although owned by Loblaw, I suspect their bakery offerings wouldn be less sweet that a typical Zehrs or Loblaw Store. I haven't tried many items at T&T, but that would be my guess.
