Blackberry vs Ipod

Hey check it out! I just bought a new phone and it does everything I want it to do. Battery cycle time is HUGE TOO! Works for days on just one charge! And it does everything I want a phone to do without all the extras. It rings, I can talk on it and listen to other people talking to me on it!
It's pretty indestructible too!

AH HA! So you think he's 16 months. He could be an "old soul."

That would explain his deep penetrating stare that freaks me out.

So the Iphone 5 is going to be released for sale on Sept 21. I'm looking forward to it. I think it will be a huge seller; not just because of the Apple fanatics who snap up the latest and greatest. I think there are others like me who have made up their mind to bail on BB and were waiting for the next Iphone to make a move.

RIM made a huge tactical error delaying its phones to next year. If they could push a release in October or even December, more than a few BB users might have been willing to wait a couple months to see what they come up with....

There isnt much of a difference at all. taller, thinner, faster, fit phone (sounds like my idea SP..lol).
Not worth the upgrade...but we all know this will be a hot sell because Apples Marketing and hype is unparalleled (just like me as a client for SPs/MPAs. lol)

I'm due for an upgrade very soon. Which way should I go, Iphone5 or the Galaxy?

Help me people I'm lost.

Go down the street, make a right at your temporal lobe. If you run into kinky thoughts of wanting to molest animals you've gone too.........

*Looks around*

Sorry....I'd go with the Galaxy. Just as powerful as the iphone but is far more customizable and flexible.

I'm in the same boat as MM. I've been a loyal crackberry user but I think it's time for me to make the change soon too.

Doesn't the Iphone have much more apps than the Samsung although I do like the big screen one gets with the Galaxy?

They are getting closer in number because of Android's increasing share of the market. As far as sheer numbers of aps Apple is on top. However, after I investigated the aps that would be useful I found that both Android and Apple had the same ones and they were all for a fee.

I made the switch to Iphone after many years of loyal BB usage. I have not been wowed, and the switch has been a lot more trouble than I expected. Aside from the service outages caused by everyone trying to switch on Friday, I've had a lot of glitches syncing email, etc.

One of the glitches caused a battery drainage problem. I went golfing on Saturday morning (so no phone usage), but my phone ran from 100% to 20% in six hours.

Another glitch was that the iphone was not compatible with my office email server settings so I had to reconfigure.

I'm also not sold on the form factor. The iphone looks "gay" (as one friend called it) in white. The elongated screen makes it look more delicate.

I got my balls busted by a few peeps prefer to correspond with me by BBM. Whatsapp is NOT BBM. Worse yet, Whatsapp on Iphone is not as good as it is on BB! (navigating, status profiles, etc).

So, long story short is...I'll be keeping my BB at least for a while and running both phones.....

@ Madman - Good question! I've wondered that myself. From what I've been told, customization is frequently mentioned. But, what and how often would I customize? I want things to work right out of the box. I don't have time and I'm not inclined to screw around.

NO.

Apple products will never go to flash. They believe that websites will be getting away from flash and to some degree they are correct.

5 million iPhones sold just over the weekend. Yikes! I definitely want one but I'm not rushing out to get it. My android is always gonna be my go-to phone for this part of my life but an iPhone would be super for my normal job.

Apple refused to use Flash because Jobs doesn't let go of a grudge.

Alas, that is why I still hang on to my playbook...it plays the porn that the Ipad won't.
