Blackberry vs Ipod

Thank you for all the feedback Miss Amy and Gents.!

I went to the Apple Store today (yes Papa I sought enlightenment), seeing as one is close to where my car is being looked at as I need her ready for the Emission Test this month. [upcoming B-Day hint ;)]

The solution to the problem was to go into Settings, then General, then Reset and finally to Reset Network Settings. I thought I should share this in case anyone else encounters this problem with their iPhone 4.

Art Mann,
I believe that doing this is in effect doing part of what you suggested "Always good to give your computer a rest. Shut it down, even for just a minute, and restart it. That gets rid of miscellaneous memory overload that can confuse the circuits. When it restarts it will refresh proper connections and protocols."

Truth is no body does a better job on Apple products then the Acolytes at the Apple Temples

The iWatch.

The iWatch.

Would you buy it?.

'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'

Sorry to discover your eyes are full of crap, papa.

Whether I would buy the iWatch or not, I can appreciate the exceptional engineering involved in creating such a stylish toy.

Which in short order may turn out not to be a toy at all.

It could become the norm.

Long time since I've seen anyone pull out a pocket watch.

Wrong.

Apple is a smartly run business with decent products, model marketing, great after service and loyal customers.

The Tea Party is a cult and should be avoided.

though I like most things Apple, the watch looks like one of those nike bands...not slick enough to entice me to buy.

I would buy it if it was affordable.

I'm going to guess $200 to $250, since it will be an accessory to iphones/ipods. That's hella cheaper than $7,500 for a rolex. LOL.

I like to wear wristwatches, so I wouldn't get this if it were mainly a watch. I'm not sure what additional features would compel me to get it. I have a Fitbit Flex that I wore for a month and then got tired of charging it. Plus, I don't need a gadget to tell me that I'm sitting on my ass all day.

Apple has said it is "deeply offended" by a BBC investigation

Apple has said it is "deeply offended" by a BBC investigation into conditions for workers involved in manufacturing its devices.

Rules on workers' hours, ID cards, dormitories, work meetings and juvenile workers were routinely breached, the Panorama programme witnessed.

In a staff email, senior Apple executive Jeff Williams said he knew of no other company doing as much as Apple to improve conditions.

But he added: "We can still do better."

Panorama's editor Ceri Thomas said he stood by the programme's journalism.

He said the team had found an exhausted workforce making Apple products in China, as well as children working in extremely dangerous tin mines in Bangka, Indonesia.

"While Apple did confirm earlier this year that it gets tin from Bangka, it had never been confirmed whether illegal tin was entering their supply chain," he said.

"We got the first evidence of this on our trip.

"We told Apple what we had found almost two months ago. Although Apple was happy to give us a non-attributable briefing, we were disappointed that the company wasn't prepared to explain its position on camera."

Can be said about Nike, Blackberry and a few more that exploit the weak government laws that allow it to happen.
