In Mexico, bus drivers who accidentally hit pedestrians are told by their employers to back up, and run over them again, to make sure they're dead. The reason is that the cost of settling a wrongful death suit in Mexican court, where payment would go to relatives, is far less than the cost of a permanent injury claim, to a living victim.

This logic partially explains why The Don wants to build a wall between the USA and Mexico. He doesn't want illegal immigrants from Mexico to obtain jobs driving trucks or buses, as this would both safeguard American lives, and take away high paying American jobs, 'muling' illegal aliens across the border.

Honestly, do you think a truck or bus, driven by a Mexican driver who speaks little to no English, would NOT be stopped at the US Border, and every box inside checked for discrepancies with the bill of lading?

Does anyone realize how long it would take tax paying Americans, returning from one of the many low priced brothels south of the border, (of which the pouting comb over is frequently a significant shareholder), to clear customs, and be home in time for kickoff on an autumn weekend? Do the math. Texas has more Electoral College votes than all of New England, combined.

In a word, No.

NAFTA cleared the way for both Mexican and Canadian "truck" drivers to operate legally in the US.
Providing they are doing cross border deliveries and pick ups.

All Trucks entering the US, Canada and Mexico are required to clear Customs.
This means a concise bill of lading, Custom Declarations and Brokerage docs for every part of the shipment.

The sanctity of life doesn't mean the same thing in all cultures. The Chinese communists let tens of millions die. The Soviet communists let Millions die. The North Koreans are currently letting people starve to death in huge numbers. How many have died in the inner cities? How many lives have been cut off in the womb?

A life doesn't mean the same thing to everyone.

The British, the French, the Spanish, the Italians, the Mexicans, most African nations, and many others throughout history.....they have all committed atrocities of unconscionable magnitude. It's not a 'cultural' thing at all. It's a systemic human defect.
