I don't think that MAL was referring to the way food animals are treated as much as he was talking about cultural taboos about eating different meats. I agree that food animals should still be treated humanely. I wouldn't want to see the cows that produce my beef being overcrowded or abused in any way. But when the times comes, I want to eat them.

I couldn't agree more that some cultures treat their livestock horribly. But then again, some cultures treat life horribly, women horribly, kids horribly, etc. Why we have to "respect" cultures in one area and can denounce them in other areas is fascinating in its inconsistency.

The pics I posted are the reality of the dog meat industry so.....The thread is about dog meat, the reality of that industry is brutal, for some unbelievable,unknown and it is full of barbaric cruelty. If you can't stomach the images don't look, but if a topic is approached and I have knowledge of it, I'll post pics and speak to it. Turning away from it won't stop it, if it repulses you do something to help stop it! But whining about this thread does nothing to help anyone!

Hate to disappoint you Candyman, she will get away with many things because it seems like if you agree with her, you are a Mangina or God forbids if you disagree with her, a Lynch mob mentality arises. Then you would be accused of whining or being a deft arse. Go figure!
