Hello HUBGFE !

Who would regulate your code of conduct, policies and bylaws?.

There is a board of agency owners and non industry people. We will operate on a complaints basis with periodic reviews of our member agencies to ensure compliance. There will be a complaints committee and a disciplinary committee as well as an application committee and review committee.
These committees will be made up of board members. In the case of difficulty, a complaint, membership request etc will be brought to the entire board.

To view existing TRAC agencies' schedules. Do we have to be a member or you will still be advertising in the appropriate sites?.

Hi Iamhere,

Each agency is is still it's own entity. TRAC will not interfere with day to day operations.

Good on doing your homework but would these complaints be brought up to the authorities as well?. How else would there be accountability and insuring a culprit individual plays by your rules?.

Tell Andy to send be a case of beer if he wants me to register.

It would depend on the severity of the complaint and the proof the complainant has to back it up. A girl that comes to us for example that says she's been chained to a radiator would immediately be reported to the police, a scary proposition for a girl on her own. A client that says he was short changed 5 minutes is beyond the scope of what we do. We are all volunteers and are committed to making this industry as safe as possible for all involved but we are not here to settle petty grievances. For example, if a client reports that he saw an underaged girl at member agency x we would go to member x for proof of age. If it is determined that she is in fact under age or member x refuses to comply with our requests for proof, we would immediately report it to the police. As a client you may be unwilling to go to the police with a serious allegation for fear of prosecution yourself. This offers you an alternative.

Hope this helps,
TRAC

Lol. Will do :). Although as a client you don't need to register. Your job would be to commit to using member agencies to support an ethical industry and to encourage non member agencies to apply.

How will this help us from getting caught or harassed by cops. Or if one is caught, what is the protocol?.

How do you collect money to pay the hosting and to have a full time tech person?.

Nothing against HUBGFE but why inaugurate it here first?

That is easy, it's because HUBGFE has the most intelligent well mannered members except maybe for_____ and ______ and _____

Kidding aside, how will this fight BillC36?? How will this help to bring 36 to the courts and get it squashed like the bug of a bill it really is.

Great question.

That's pretty self explanatory, if you've been following what is going on: The abolitionist rhetoric is all about how all sexworkers are victims, forced into the trade by traffickers by use of drugs and physical coersion. By forming something like TRAC, it enshrines the idea that this is untrue in a way that someone not involved in the industry can understand. I think it's a great idea. :good:

Will this be just a Toronto initiative, or will you be reaching out to agencies in nearby cities as well, considering the established crossover with MTL, Hamilton, Ottawa (...)?

Would independants and independant collectives also be joining?

This would help with public and politcal perception of prostitution, no doublt. This is something that would have provided a fantastic argument prior to the proposal of Bill C-36, had it been in place.
But as HOOKED asked, how does this help with a law that has already passed?
Is the plan to have a standards verification procedure in place to stage a call for repeal of C-36?
