$250 was the price before hotel prices raised, gas prices went over a buck, taxes went up, HST was introduced.

$300 is fair for incall, especially an indie who does all the work themselves. In my opinion. I just don't charge that because I don't have the same expenses. I don't do hotels. If I did, my rate would be higher too.

At $400, I am assuming the agency staff and the driver fees are going up. When the fees were raised originally, it was going strictly to the ladies. Now drivers and phone staff need a raise and Jillian would not want to take that out of her profit.

I see the business model on paper. She is marketing herself out of review board terrority. I will agree there.

Please remember - there is a whole world in this business that is outside of review board and there is where higher end, higher prices, elites, etc work out of it. It is not your market or clientele base that these people are looking for.

I guess that that is why pricing is such a good screening tool. It sets the pace for the type of clientele we want to see.

Many are moving away from RBC "review board culture" especially with the rise of i camel/MGTOW type movements. I could actually see me moving away from it too if I relied on this income to support myself.

Free enterprise allows for pricing as high as people are willing to pay.

Where booking to drop to a point where it is no longer viable to charge higher pricing.

In all seriousness, my point to the poster that I quoted was that claiming a price from over a decade ago without considering the cost of living increase, is pretty close-minded.

But then again we just raised min. Wage and many are bitching about that. I guess because I am a business woman, I look at the value of money differently. Instead of always wanting to pay the cheapest price and expecting the sun and the stars delivered to me, I take a more logical approach and pay for what I think is just and fair for ALL people involved. Not just my wallet. When purchasing services of any type, I think about the person who is trying to make my buck. If they do a good job, and are an honest hard worker, they will get my cash over the cheap guy who wants to get in, get done and get out without any care to me as a client. That is how I am with all service men that I have work on my house, business, trailer, car, boat etc. So I like to think I can command the same. It is not always about the dollar amount and more about the value of that dollar.

Value not always been monetary.
