A friend of mine has her family over every Thanksgiving (In november) they like a sweet sauce So it will have a hint of celery seed and peppers.

Add to that a Lamb meatballs which is sweet and savory.

I thought you were going to talk about a different kind of sauce....Silly Me....

Never forget to add garlic. Remember a Soprano scene when he said: Slice the garlic thinly and don't be shy about using too much.

I'm loading my car with my bib and handmade fork. Papa is about 3 hours away so be ready Prick and you're paying for gas!!

What no bacon :unknw:

made the meatballs with lamb, pork and beef, was going to chop some bacon and mix that in too but decided it would be too much flavor for these people.

Don't forget to add beer. I am being serious.

I have done sauce with beer

I prefer to add a touch of wine. Normally I would deglaze the the pan I brown the meat in with a burgundy or tawny port.

But for a sweeter sauce I use a Marsala wine.
