I know, it says in the bible that "man should not lie with man" but since it has been copied so many times by so many different people and re-written more times than can be counted, it probably said originally "man should not lie to man"......
The problem with your opinion baz is it is not based on your ideas, it is based on someone else's. That someone lived 2012 years ago in a time where they thought the earth was flat and there were sea serpents living in the oceans.
I work with a "born again" and the issue I have is his unwavering concept that everything written in the bible is 100% correct and everyone who doesn't live that way is wrong. That concept right there is the reason there are so many wars going on. Remove religion from the picture and the world would be a much better place.....
On to the subject at hand: I think that if two people, ANY two people of legal age want to partake of this archaic "ritual" then so be it. As someone stated, the idea that two people of the same sex shouldn't be allowed to be married is no different than the archaic laws that prevented two people of different races be allowed to marry.........
If more people opened their minds and adopted the attitude that "if it makes you happy then so be it" the world would be a much better place.....
(sorry, I don't abide by any "religion" where another person and yes, it IS just a person who tells me how to live, who to love, and what I can and cannot do...)

Winston McKenzie, the culture spokesman for Ukip, said placing children with gay or lesbian couples was ‘child abuse’.
The former boxer, who is standing in the Croydon North by-election on Thursday, told Metro: ‘To say to a child, “I am having you adopted by two men who kiss regularly but don’t worry about it” – that is abuse. It is a violation of a child’s human rights because that child has no opportunity to grow up under normal circumstances.’
His outburst came days after Rotherham Council removed three children from a foster couple because they were Ukip members.
Christian Mr McKenzie said gay adoption ran against his beliefs.
He added: ‘There are people out there who bring up their kids encouraging them to believe they are gay themselves.’
He also attacked celebrities saying some came out as gay ‘as a fashion’.
Ukip has distanced itself from his comments, insisting it was not against gay adoption.
The party’s London chairman, David Coburn, who is gay, said: ‘We entirely, wholeheartedly support equal rights for couples regardless of their sexuality.’
But Ben Summerskill, of gay rights charity Stonewall, said: ‘These 19th-century views are not acceptable in the 21st century.’.

I've been working on this since the announcement. Ida is not thrilled with the idea but she has not yet completely ruled it out. I am hoping to meet some of you. Hopefully there are no hard feelings and we can all share a drink and toast the season as well as wish for a prosperous 2013.
