Made with Love

Right to Die, what is your take on it?.

So was the McGuinty's 1 billion fiasco and so many billions more wasted by our government. I rather pay for them to suffer in pain like their victims than to give them the satisfaction on taking the easy way out.

I'm inclined to agree the actor who once kicked Bar Refaeli out of the bed to fark her on the floor. They've made their bed and they have to serve their time. Their right to a quick way out of punishment should be denied.

Okay but let's suppose that the victims families just would rather have some quick closure?

In that case wouldn't their wishes count the most?

If I am a victim's father I would never ask for a quick closure. Just to easy for them.

The problem with that is that if you bend to the wishes of all victims you never truely have an impartial sentence in any case. The statue of Justice has her holding up the scales with she herself being blindfolded. I like the analogy being portrayed here. "The blindfold represents objectivity, in that justice is or should be meted out objectively, without fear or favour, regardless of identity, personal wealth, power, or weakness; blind justice and impartiality." I'm in favour of this applying to sentencing as well.

See I'm just the opposite.

I'd rather see the perp executed and have it over with.

I would have a hard time dealing with the fact that he might out live me. And who knows with this faint hope clause we have up here he might just get out one day.

Nope just get it over with and try to heal as best as you can.

Would you participate in a doctor assisted suicide?

Would you participate in a doctor assisted suicide?

If someone you loved was dying of a terminal illness (diagnosed/confirmed), would/could you contribute, participate, facilitate, or directly assist 'the end' for them? Have you ever been confronted with a similar situation of 'pulling the plug' on someone you really cared for?

I hope I never have to but if push comes to shove I would hope I could step up and do it.

I may crack a joke or two in the process though. :biggrin2:

I wonder how many people exit this life while laughing? What an awesome way to go - to be laughed to death.

I would, if I was sure it was what they wanted, and I would allow it to be done to me if I was in the same situation.

I came into this world crying and I'd like to exit it laughing at a good joke.

Laughing while orgasming would be good too.

I just love the first two things listed in the "similar threads" section of the post.

Very true. In fact I read something online no long ago that made me simply keel over in laughter...great hulking uncontrollable guffaws, gasping for breath, tears streaming, the whole nine yards. Thought I'd actually die laughing at the post.

As I rolled on the floor, I thought to myself "Lord, just take me now, 'cause now I've heard everything!" :rofl!:

Even thinking back to it now, it still makes me snicker uncontrollably...

Must have been quite a hoot.

I heard about a guy, older fellow, not to long ago, who crapped in his pants from laughing, literally. That's gotta be a rough afflication

Better not. It was pretty damn funny, and Fang's only got a few good years left in him. Wouldn't want him to kick off prematurely, y'know? :wink2:

Good point - I'd like to keep Fang around for a few more years.
